Arsenal don’t have the best of records against Liverpool in recent seasons, winning just one and losing four of the pair’s last six meetings in all competitions. The Gunners are sitting eight points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table after winning their seventh straight Premier League game last week.

Injury/Suspension List:

William Saliba sustained a back injury during Arsenal’s recent Europa League match against Sporting CP. While the Frenchman’s return this weekend in unlikely, the centre-back is showing signs of improvement and could make a surprise comeback.

Unfortunately, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Mohamed Elneny are both still out with long-term injuries, and it’s unlikely they will return this season. Eddie Nketiah will also be absent due to an ankle injury, but he should be back in contention later this month.

One the other hand, there could be some positive news for Jurgen Klopp’s men. Virgil van Dijk could make a comeback after missing the last game against Chelsea. Additionally, Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson are expected to return to the starting lineup after being rested.

Player To Watch Out For – Mohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah has the ability to glide past multiple defenders with ease and make it look effortless. He often uses his quick feet and body feints to deceive defenders and create space for himself. This allows him to get into dangerous positions and create scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates.

In addition to his dribbling skills, the Egyptian winger is also incredibly fast. His pace allows him to make runs in behind defenders, get on the end of through balls, and chase down long balls. He is a constant threat to the opposition defence and always keeps them on their toes.

Finally, Salah is also a deadly finisher. He can score goals from both inside and outside the box. He is capable of striking the ball with incredible accuracy and power, making it difficult for goalkeepers to save his shots. His finishing ability has helped him become one of the top goal-scorers in the world, and he is often relied upon by his team to score important goals.

Predicted Score:

Liverpool 1-2 Arsenal

The North London side are currently in excellent form and appear to be playing with more confidence and fluidity under Mikel Arteta’s guidance. With Liverpool struggling, Arsenal have a good opportunity to secure a win this weekend at Anfield.

Meanwhile, Gabriel Jesus has emerged as a key player for the Gunners this season, with seven goals in the Premier League so far (stats via Transfermarkt). If Arsenal can replicate their recent performances, they have a strong chance of beating Liverpool and maintaining their top spot.

Liverpool, on the other hand, must elevate their performance on Sunday and overcome their poor away form if they hope to boost their top-four aspirations.
