HUGE Team News Revealed Ahead of Arsenal vs Liverpool : Possible Lineup, Massive Injury Update and Predictions

liverpool, arsenal vs liverpool, Liverpool vs Arsenal

Arsenal are set to take on league leaders Liverpool away at Anfield tonight. There’s absolutely no doubt that there will goals in the match.

However, the real question is: “Can the faltering Gunners inflict The Kop with their first league game loss or are they set to become another stat in their conquered list of defeated clubs?

It would be appropriate to say time will tell but the time in question is already here, tonight. Hence, all that is left to do is to look at the team news, deduce the best Lineup to face Liverpool and predict the outcome.

There are whispers from reliable sources that, Skhodran Mustafi and Nacho Monreal have returned in time and are part of the group whom have made the trip to Anfield. Hector Bellerin as well.

Well, if the above stays true, then The Gunners may just stand a proper chance of pushing the home side to the limits and come away with all the available points.

However, based on what we know for certain in terms of team fitness and form, The Gunners stand at the precipice of a torrid last game of 2018.

Liverpool certainly have the form and squad to exploit Arsenal’s depleted defence, which has been ravaged by injuries since the game against Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United at Old Trafford.

A backline of Koscienly, Sokratis, Litchsteiner and Sean Kolasinac, will have their work caught out for them, courtesy of the likes of Mohammed Salah, Roberto Firmino (who just loves scoring against Arsenal) and Sadio Mane, who enjoys scoring against Arsenal as well.

Predicted Lineup

Bernd Leno should retain his spot in the team, in between the sticks and continue to keep Petr Cech on the bench.

Hector Bellerin’s return couldn’t have come more timely as concerns over Stephan Litchstenier’s form and suitability by The fans, especially after the horrific performance in the last game against Brighton.

As much as the prospect of pairing Sokratis and Koscienly on paper is enough to secure the Gold in fort knox. However, the Brighton game showed us… well, on paper and real-life are 2 different things.

A safer option for the Gunners tonight will be a Mustafi / Sokratis pairing. This of course is highly subject to the whispers being true about this.

Sead Kolasinac or Nacho Monreal will easily slot into that left back position. The former is better suited as a wingback though.

Lucas Torreira, Granit Xhaka and Matteo Guendozi are likely to be the engine room in the middle of the park. It is possible Aaron Ramsey or Alex Iwobi may replace Guendozi in the mix.

4-2-1-3 : Mesut Ozil OUT While Lacazette and Aubameyang Start | With SEVEN Players Ruled out, Strongest Predicted XI Against Liverpool

Upfront, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang may be deployed as the central Striker, Lacazette on the right and Iwobi/Henrikh Mkhitaryan on the left.

The above frontline may have roles reversed or re-assigned but the personnel is most likely to stay the same.

With Unai Emery hoping for a superb first half showing from the Gunners, it is easy to understand why his team selection will be one throwing caution into the wind.

Some brilliant football will definitely be on display, for the neutrals and in patches for the followers of both clubs.

Arsenal are yet to win at Anfield against Liverpool in the last 5 years… Perhaps this is the year and moment to redefine history for The Gunners.

Usual Suspect Mesut Özil, is not with the traveling team. Reports of a knee injury, has forced him out of tonight’s game vs Liverpool…

This is the latest source of controversy surrounding the Arsenal squad vs Liverpool and Unai Emery’s selection headache.

A vast majority of fans believe that the injury news are just covers for him being left out of tasking games, whilst others accept the explanation.

Either way, we all wish to see him back on the pitch as soon as possible and sincerely wish him a speedy recovery. (If it applies… )

Prediction

Liverpool definitely are the favorites for this one hence a goal difference in their favour is what I’d guess to be the final outcome, logically. 3-2

Whatever the night brings, we shall walk through it together and hopefully victoriously too.
