According to reports circulating in Spain, Real Madrid have offered the Welsh star Gareth Bale in the deal to sign United star midfielder Paul Pogba. After capturing Eden Hazard from Chelsea, Zinedine Zidane wants to sign the Frenchman for the Los Blancos.
Real Madrid announced the signing of Eden Hazard on Friday (7th June) from Chelsea Football club for a reported fee of £89 million. After signing the Chelsea ace, Zidane wants to bolster his midfield, which was very poor during the 2018-19 campaign and has made the fellow Frenchman as his primary target.
Even though Manchester United had a poor 2018-19 season, Paul Pogba performed quite brilliantly. He scored a total of 16 goals in 45 matches across all competitions for the Red Devils. Also, the World Cup-winning midfielder was directly involved in 10 more goals with his assists. Pogba was one of the brightest sparks on the field for the Old-Trafford based outfit.
With Los Blancos trying to lure the midfielder to Spain, the club has offered Gareth Bale as a part of the deal, according to the Mirror. Even though three years are left in the Welshman’s contract, Real Madrid is reluctant to sell the winger and get the deal sorted for Paul Pogba.
After a spat with Zidane, Gareth Bale has found himself on the bench more times than on the pitch. However, Bale is reluctant to stay in Spain and run down his contract. Believe it or not, the astronomical wages of the former Spurs’ player is a stumbling stone for any transfer.
Meanwhile, Gareth Bale doesn’t want a move away from the Spanish capital and has conveyed this to the club’s board. Even the agent of the player has asked the club not to listen to any of the offers from other clubs.
Depending on the current situation of United, they require a number of modifications to reach where we want them to see. However, selling the Frenchman might not be the solution to their problems. Pogba is a world-class midfielder and has a high commercial value.
Even Ed Woodward knows it. Moreover, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to build the team around Paul Pogba by providing the most coveted captain’s armband to the midfielder. Anything less than £175 million might not be accepted by the club, until and unless Paul Pogba wants to leave the club.
