Manchester United left back Luke Shaw has revealed how his club manager Jose Mourinho has retained trust in him throughout his tough times. In recent press conference, he claimed that during the transfer window there were many rumors spread across media about his transfer but the Red Devils boss was firm on his decision of keeping him at the Old Trafford.
Luke Shaw is an example that criticism by managers can't kill any player determined to succeed. If you are really to succeed, criticism will help you more than praise & mollycuddling. Glad the boy finally sees that Mourinho is actually the one who means well for him, not the liars.

Luke Shaw is playing really well in the present season, starting almost all the games and played full 90 minutes under Jose Mourinho. He scored his first professional goal in the first match of this season against Leicester city. This season seems to be very promising for the 23 years old, after his one and half year old gap due to his injury of double fracture on his right leg against PSV in the Champions League.
Luke Shaw was bought as an 18 years old teenage sensation after his heroics in the red and white stripes of his former club Southampton. Louis Van Gaal purchased him for a whooping 37 million euros in 2014, who broke the record of Wayne Rooney as the most expensive teenager ever bought in England.
Shaw did not perfectly blend in the Manchester United environment at the beginning with the management of the club and is speculated to be one of the many reasons why Van Gaal was sacked. Jose Mourinho did not lose hope on Luke Shaw
In press conference, Luke Shaw said that there were times when Jose got furious on me but always believed in me.

“I think he got frustrated with me because he knew I could do better,”
“When I look back, maybe he was right.
“It was a tough few years but it made me stronger mentally. I wanted to prove to him I can do what he said I couldn’t.
“I had a chat with the manager before the season and he said he wanted me to stay.
“I’ve matured. You could say I’ve gone from a kid to a man. I know what I need to do to push myself.
“I want to play for Manchester United, stay there and prove my worth to the team.”

In the press conference he also told about his mental condition after the horrific injury he got in 2015,

“I’ve seen a psychologist. My leg break was a very tough time. All the stick I’ve had in the last few years has pushed me.
“I wanted to prove everyone wrong and get back to what I do best. I need games to get fully fit and motivated. I’m feeling back to my old self.”

Luke Shaw truly believes that he is better than Ashley Young and Matteo Darmian who were the first team players in the past seasons. But now he feels he has undergone proper practice sessions, strengthened and ready to face challenges and was proved so by playing the complete 90 minutes of first four Premier League matches. He has been called on for representing his country in the international break the following week.
