4-3-3 With Sancho, Lindelof And Ronaldo – Team News & Predicted Line-Up | How United’s Starting XI Would Look Like Against Brighton & Hove Albion

Manchester United vs Brighton

Manchester United host Brighton & Hove Albion tonight as the Red Devils eye their first win in three Premier League outings. Having endured a difficult period since returning from the international break, Ralf Rangnick’s side will be keen on securing a crucial win at Old Trafford in the hopes of keeping up with the race for top-four.

An underwhelming draw against Southampton last weekend saw United deliver yet another poor performance. With the team struggling to maintain their dominance for the full ninety minutes amidst brewing indiscipline in their execution on the pitch, the German manager will be keen on chalking out their inconsistencies in hopes of securing a fourth-place finish at the end of the campaign.

Brazilians Alex Telles and Fred are set to return to the match-day squad for the Manchester United vs Brighton game, with the likes of Edinson Cavani and Nemanja Matic remaining out of contention for the tie at Old Trafford.

Manchester United Starting XI Against Brighton

Goalkeeper

David De Gea (GK): Although a formidable presence between the sticks, a lack of clean sheets continues failing to reflect his efforts on the pitch. With the team struggling to enforce their dominance on the opposition, De Gea is unlikely to be dislodged from his position anytime soon.

Defenders

Diogo Dalot (RB): Enduring a challenging spell following his breakthrough into the first XI, Dalot will be hoping to deliver an impactful performance on Tuesday night. The team is dependent on his services and the full-back will be keen on contributing to the result against the Seagulls.

Victor Lindelof (RCB): With Harry Maguire struggling to deliver respectable performances, Lindelof will be hoping to be given an opportunity against Brighton. Having been amongst the team’s better defenders before the international break, the Swede will be keen on retaining his place in the starting line-up moving forward.

Raphael Varane (LCB): The team’s most composed presence in the backline, Varane will be keen on maintaining his string of impressive displays over the coming weeks. Although struggling to register clean sheets, the Frenchman remains vital to United’s solidity in defence.

Luke Shaw (LB): With Alex Telles set to return to action, Shaw will be keen on improving his contributions over the coming weeks. Having been partly at fault for the goals conceded in recent weeks, the left-back will be hoping to redeem himselfiin the upcoming games.

Midfielders

Scott McTominay (CDM): With the team lacking better personnel in the department, McTominay is expected to remain a starter over the coming weeks. Although the Scotsman continues to struggle for consistency, he will be keen on contributing to the team’s prospects moving forward.

Paul Pogba (CM): Having shown glimpses of his significance since returning from injury, Pogba remains vital to United’s hopes for a top-four finish at the end of the campaign. With the team appearing to be more balanced with the addition, the Frenchman will be hoping to gradually improve on his performances over the coming weeks.

Bruno Fernandes (CAM): United’s primary creator on the pitch, Fernandes will be keen on improving the team’s fortunes over the coming weeks. Although, at times, frustrating in his decision making and discipline in positioning, the Portuguese remains vital to the team’s prospects over the remainder of the season.

Forwards

Marcus Rashford (RW): Despite undergoing an inconsistent spell, the Manchester United forward will be keen on contributing to the team’s result against Brighton tonight. Having failed to deliver comprehensive performances hitherto, questions remain over the winger’s utility moving forward

Jadon Sancho (LW): The former Dortmund man is lively presence on the flanks and will look to improve his performances even further in the upcoming games. Having been the team’s most impressive performer in recent weeks, the youngster remains vital to United’s prospects heading into a demanding phase of the season.

Cristiano Ronaldo (ST): Although failing to find the back of the net in the last six games across all competitions, his highest since 2009, Ronaldo will be keen on improving his overall contributions over the coming weeks. Currently operating in a demanding role, the Portuguese forward remains a questionable addition to an energetic United line-up.

Predicted Score:

Manchester United 2-1 Brighton & Hove Albion
