How A War Of Words Between Jose Mourinho And Anthony Martial Has Completely Plunged Martial’s Future Into Darkness

Anthony Martial remains uncertain over his Manchester United future

Life is all about decisions. Sometimes they work well and sometimes they don’t. It will be a matter of a week to see if this decision of Anthony Martial worked for him or not.[spacer height=”30px”]

United winger who is seriously considering his future at the club is in the news again. He left the United pre season tour in the US to see his new born baby in France. While this brings in a good news for the family, it seems like Jose isn’t as excited as the parents.[spacer height=”30px”]

Mourinho expected Anthony to come back from France to rejoin the team in US but he could not manage to please the boss on that one. Failing to join the team and stay with the family, he has left his future in a whole lot of doubts.[spacer height=”30px”]

Having played the starting 2 games for United in the preseason things seemed to be working alright until now. Martial’s inability to report on time has landed him being fined £180k by the club.[spacer height=”30px”]

According to reports manager seems to be unhappy as well. Asked about the winger by the reporters after the game with Real Madrid, Jose Mourinho told the reporters that they should ask the press officer and he didn’t know. Martial on the other hand responded with a tweet saying “My family will always come first”.[spacer height=”30px”]

[spacer height=”30px”]With lack of playing time last season Martial was known to be unhappy and Mourinho was not bothered and doesn’t mind in letting the player leave as the situation did not change. With a very dull transfer market for United till now the question arises who will replace Martial if he leaves?[spacer height=”30px”]

With lack of attacking options on the wing and most of the players still not a 100% after the break the possibility of challenging for the premier league, forget about winning it seems to be very thin.[spacer height=”30px”]

Martial’s lack of commitment seems to be unprofessional but Jose should be a little considerate too. Jose has been very vocal about what he feels throughout his career. While this can be effective at times, it can backfire very easily too.[spacer height=”30px”]

If Martial leaves United will have to sign a replacement that is for sure. But the question which arises is would it be enough firepower in the squad? Will the squad have enough depth to manage the entire season? Martial is a class player and should not be allowed to leave but again only time can tell what’s about to unfold.[spacer height=”30px”]
