HUGE NEWS | Soon-To-Be Sporting Director Monchi Identifies Primary Transfer Target For Unai Emery

Monchi, Arsedevils

Unai Emery has done a good job since his appointment as the Arsenal manager. After the departure of Arsene Wenger, the longest serving and the most successful manager in the club’s history, it was always going to be a tough ask for the Spaniard. But till now he has shown some good results; and rekindled certain amount of hope for the arsenal fans who want to see the club rise again to its glorious history, with Monchi soon to be signed as a replacement for Sven Mislintat.

With the news of the possible arrival of Monchi from A.S. Roma as the new sporting director, the future is looking good for the Gunners. The Former Roma man made his name as one of the best talent-spotters in the world while being at Sevilla for 17 years.

He has already proved his extraordinary vision of spotting great talent by signing certain world class talents like the likes of Ivan Rakitic, Dani Alves and Sergio Ramos among them. With Monchi being the sporting director for the club, he would certainly be a valuable asset for the club. And if reports are to be believed, he already has a primary transfer target in mind to replicate his extraordinary work with Arsenal as well.

Arsenal are now reportedly among the favourites for Alex Grimaldo who currently plays for Benfica as a left-back. With the likes of the ageing Nacho Monreal and not so effective Kolasinac currently playing in that position it would be a great addition to the club if it ever happens.

Monchi apparently is a great admirer of the Spaniard and will try to land the player wherever his next job might be. The left-back has also been linked with Manchester City but; Arsenal can find themselves in pole position if Monchi arrives at the club given his reputation of securing world class talents early on in their careers.

With Monchi already having previously worked with Unai Emery at Sevilla a reunion might just fit right in. Monchi will certainly be considered as the ideal man to lead the club in this department, given his reputation of finding brilliant talents at cheap prices. Moreover it is no secret that Arsenal cannot always compete with high money spenders like City or United hence their bid to secure quality players early on might just be the way for the future.

Monchi has refused to openly talk about the news of his move to Arsenal.

 “I haven’t decided my future yet “

“I don’t think it’s time to look into these things. It’s time to remember good things.”

But if Arsenal do land him he would indeed be a great addition to the club both financially and quality wise. His ability to work with limited resources is what makes him so good and in demand. With PSG also looking to lure him it will be exciting to see what the future holds for the former Roma man working behind the scenes at Arsenal. With Emery bringing out the best from the existing players at the club and Monchi bringing in new talent it can be an exciting combination that might just prove to be fruitful for club in the long run and is also bound to get the fans excited here on.
