Manchester United are said to have joined the race to sign Portimonense S.C. winger Shoya Nakajima with him already being a target for Leicester City. There have been further reports that Southampton has also joined the race to sign this promising 24 year-old left winger. Both the clubs scouted Shoya Nakajima this past week.
United’s interim manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer has already cancelled loan moves for a lot of youngsters to provide them with more game time with the first team here at Old Trafford. This maybe due to the fact that he is going to get a limited purse to go after new targets this transfer season. But this report says otherwise.

Shoya Nakajima has been in fine form for Portimonense so far this season with 5 goals and 5 assists to his name in the 15 games that have been held so far. Those who are looking to lure him away from Portimonense will have to pay for his release clause which stands at 40 million euros.
So the question remains whether United will be willing to spend such an amount to prize away this talented winger. United were earlier eyeing for a top central defender and were reported to be in the hunt to sign Koulibaly.
A move to the Premier League will be a big boost for Shoya Nakajima as the Premier League is the most competitive league in the world. United do not have a natural left winger to them with Anthony Martial currently utilized in that role.
