Breaking News : Every Single word said by New Signing Stephan Litchsteiner after Official Confirmation Plus Update on Sokratis and more…

Stephan Litchsteiner to Arsenal

Stephan Litchsteiner has joined the Gunners on a free transfer from Juventus, pending regulatory processes.[spacer height=”30px”]

At a ripe age of 34 and an incredible run of 7 successive league titles in the Italian Serie A,Stephan Litchsteiner brings a world of experience, leadership and winners mentality to The Emirates.[spacer height=”30px”]

Here are quotes from his first interview as an Arsenal player on arsenal.com;[spacer height=”30px”]

On what attracted him to The Gunners;[spacer height=”30px”]

” There is a project. There is a project to come back into the Champions League. I think it’s hard to see a club like Arsenal not playing in the Champions League.[spacer height=”20px”]

If you see the players, if you see the club, the stadium… it’s the project, the big opportunity to get back to the highest level.“[spacer height=”30px”]

On his memories of Arsenal over the years;[spacer height=”30px”]

“I’ve never played against Arsenal, but of course there was the big era of Wenger. He won a lot of titles with Arsenal and [made them] a big team.[spacer height=”20px”]

Now it’s a new moment. Wenger went and now everything is a bit new, so it’s a big challenge.”[spacer height=”30px”]

On his thoughts about Arsenal’s new Head Coach;[spacer height=”30px”]

” He’s a very good coach who’s won a lot of titles, especially the Europa League that we play in this year. He’s a coach who knows what he wants and a coach who also progresses the players, and also old players like me.[spacer height=”20px”]

You never stop learning and this is very important. I’m really positive that we will do great things.”[spacer height=”30px”]

Considering Stephan Litchsteiner has spent the most part of the last decade playing in the Champions League, it is quite humbling to hear him speak so ambitiously about success in the Europa league.[spacer height=”30px”]

A natural Right Back by trade, Stephan Litchsteiner’s inclusion serves to add much needed depth and alternative to the defensive right side of the Gunners backline.[spacer height=”30px”]

Hector Bellerin‘s development has stagnated over the years, much to the disgust and disenchantment of the fans, who have yearned for a proper competition for that position in order to spur Bellerin towards improving his game.[spacer height=”30px”]

It is fair to say that those prayers have been answered and Stephan Litchsteiner not only is at the twilight of his illustrious career but also a favoured starter based on logic and accomplishments.[spacer height=”30px”]

Welcome to Arsenal Stephan Litchsteiner!. [spacer height=”30px”]

In other news, Arsenal are on the verge of completing the signing, of Borussia Dortmund Centre Back Papastathopolous Sokratis, after he completed his medicals with the Gunners on Monday.[spacer height=”30px”]

An official announcement will be made momentarily. This looks like a forgone conclusion though as his dad seems to have “let the cat out of the bag”, wrapped with a jibe at Arsenal’s rivals.[spacer height=”30px”]

This is certainly a welcomed change at Arsenal and hopefully, Emery will hit the ground running like Conte did in his first season at Chelsea.[spacer height=”30px”]

There is chatter that a certain someone is being linked, with a free transfer to The Gunners. On this particular piece, I’ll hold my peace. ☮[spacer height=”30px”]

    1. Ermm… Not exactly! Litchsteiner is 34 already, hence he will be used to build Bellerin’s stunted growth. Plus it is a clear sign of ambition on Unai Emery’s part to have provided competition in that position.
