France international N’Zonzi was heavily linked to Arsenal in the last summer window but elected to join a young AS Roma team, whose transfer department is headed by Monchi. N’Zonzi has both Premier League experience with Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City, and the experience of working with Unai Emery at Sevilla. N’Zonzi has provided strength and grit to the middle of the park for a young Roma side, appearing in 28 matches in all competitions, while also scoring a goal and setting up two more.
Both Arsenal and their rivals Tottenham are reported to be interested in Steven N’Zonzi, and, as per sportsmole.co.uk, Roma are reportedly willing to sell their 30-year-old midfield general if they can get the right price.

However, Arsenal will hold out any bids for him until Monchi, who has been heavily linked with Arsenal, joins the clubs. Monchi took N’Zonzi with him to Roma, when he joined the club from Sevilla. He is seen as the anchor for the french to join the Emirates. In case Arsenal fails to secure Monchi’s signature, Tottenham will be allowed to go forward for N’Zonzi.
In all aspects, this transfer is one which is a beneficial one for all the parties involved. AS Roma would love to get back the money that they paid for N’Zonzi, considering his age, and selling him to the Premier League would be financially beneficial to them. The Sun reports that the French is looking forward to returning to the Premier League, a league in which he was already tasted success with his earlier clubs.
Arsenal would benefit from having a strong midfielder like N’Zonzi in their team. The current Arsenal team lacks any form of physicality and discipline, and he will provide just that. The france international will provide a balance between physicality and flair in the middle of the park, and he has been enjoying a brilliant couple of seasons.
The media today: We’re interested in signing two 30-year old midfielders in Banega & Nzonzi. Liverpool reject Suso is also a target. We’re somehow preparing a bid of £70M for De Ligt. Laca might be sold and Guendouzi might be off to PSG for £60M. And it’s only February… 😂 #AFC

His form at Sevilla saw him earn a much-deserved call up to the French team, and he starred in their World Cup winning team. If Arsenal want to aim for a top four finish, let alone mount a title-challenge, signing a seasoned superstar like N’Zonzi will definitely help them
