What New Manager Solskjaer Has Done to Breathtakingly Transform Manchester United After Mourinho’s Debacle

Solskjaer, Arsedevils

Things seem smooth at United, with 2 matches and 2 wins under the new caretaker manager Ole Solskjær. In Ole’s first match, United thrashed Cardiff City with a score of 5-1 away.

In the second match, United gain a 3-1 victory against Huddersfield at Old Trafford. Even though these teams were quite unmatched against United, there was a certain attitude and teamwork displayed by the players which showed that Solskjær has certainly changed something.

In an interview with MUTC, former United player Ryan Giggs said,

“It was Ole’s first home game, and the positivity that came from Cardiff game, the performance and result and I think everyone was looking forward to the game. The big players are turning up, (Paul) Pogba with the goals, David (De Gea) with a great save and Marcus (Rashford) getting better and better each game. There’s a real positivity around the place and we need that to carry on now going into the Bournemouth game.”

The positive reinforcements by Solskjær have brought the best in every player and the results are here to show. It feels like they are happier with the change in management and are able to play as they should with no restrictions being imposed on them.

Furthermore, Giggs also stated,

“He’s gradually got more experience and when he had that injury and time out he used to take notes of things Sir Alex would do so I believed he would do a good job and go into coaching. You just need a little bit of edge to be a manager and he has that.”

One of the main changes we got to see is the fluid passing play by United. They kept possession of the ball, made a good amount of short passes and just showed a completely different attack than before.

They just kept on pushing forward. The full-backs were utilised to their maximum potential. Solskjær revived Pogba’s former glory as the Frenchman kep bolstering the attack in every way possible.

While there were quite a few changes, the main thing that really helped United was their manager’s zeal Bringing him in has dissolved all the former conflicts that Mourinho had with the players and the fans, like a fresh start to the season.

The players have a sense of confidence in them and believe that they can do better as the season is only halfway done. They are more focused and working hard on the pitch which was unseen during Mourinho’s reign as manager.

Ole has been quite famous among the fans and people are keeping their hopes high with Mourinho’s departure. The two games that went by aren’t enough to judge what Ole is capable of, but surely gives us a hint of how he wants United to play.

There are certainly going to be a lot of difficulties as the Reds are yet to face the top teams in the league and that’s when we would know for sure if United are back to where they belong.

On Sunday, Manchester United are set to face Bournemouth at Old Trafford. This could be a very easy win for United if they just keep playing as they did in the last two fixtures.
