Mesut Ozil’s Agent Reportedly Flies Out To Meet To Meet With Inter Ahead Of A Cut Price Move From Arsenal

Mesut Ozil, Linked to Inter Milan, Ozil should leave Arsenal

Mesut Ozil could very well be leaving Arsenal FC in January for as low as €25m, according to recent updates.

Serie A side, Inter Milan are keen to get in on the action as Ozil s manger along with his brother are flying down to Italy to hash out the terms with the Nerazzurri.

Juventus have also flirted with the idea of getting Ozil onboard but haven’t made any significant contact or move, making his move to ‘The Old Lady’ highly unlikely.

Amidst all these Italians bidding, Real Madrid could be a potential wildcard showing interest given that they would have to shell out just €6.5m due to buy-back clause in the contract when Arsene Wenger signed Mesut Ozil for a whopping € 42.5 mil from Real Madrid way back in 2013

The German star has been costing the management at Islington nearly €350k per week and frankly, the midfielder isn’t worth it. He’s reportedly fallen out of favour with Unai Emery and is currently plagued with back spasm. The 30 year old is allegedly addicted to the video game, ‘Fortnite’ and was among the 7 Arsenal players to get caught on camera inhaling ‘hippy crack’ and getting high in a club.

He has faced heavy criticism after his dismissal performance in the World Cup. The midfielder’s year isn’t going smooth after his retirement from international football with just 4 goals and 1 assist so far. Even Emery has gone all out against the German, saying that he expected more out of the midfielder after his retirement.

Arsenal’s midfield is arguably the strongest in the Premier League with the likes of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Lucas Torreira, Alex Iwobi, Matteo Guendouzi, Granit Xhaka and Aaron Ramsey vying for a spot in the line up. They have been the anchor for the Gunners this season, picking up after the mess made by the defense.

With Ozil in the fray, the midfield would be compromising on quality as he fitness levels are pathetic. He last featured in the draw against Wolverhampton Wolves and hasn’t seen the pitch ever since, literally!

He missed the North London Derby and Emery was as clueless as us on the origin of the injury and even didn’t know if the German was present in the stadium to watch the game.

Gooners expected Ozil s presence against Huddersfield on Saturday as he was seen training a day before but were disappointed when he didn’t even make the subs. ‘Nemo’ had also sat out in a fixture against West Ham United due to a cold earlier this season.

Arsenal need to get rid of this white elephant who chalks up the largest bill in the payroll as we speak. Gunners could do very well do without this ‘big name’ and the rumors say that the cash from his sale would be used to bring the La Liga centre-back Mario Hermoso to Islington.

Hermoso, 23 has shown promising talent and his club, Espanyol has a €35m buyout clause in his contract. With his enormous wage bill out of the way, Arsenal surely wouldn’t mind splurging on players to bolster their frail and weakened defense and also up front to fill in the boots of the injured Danny Welbeck.

From what it looks, this news if strong could potentially disappoint a majority of Gooners when they see the de-facto icon of the team leaving London.
