SIX Key Players Who Will Simply Benefit Immensely From Mourinho’s Dismissal

Jose Mourinho at Man United
José Mourinho did not have a smooth sailing at Manchester United. Disputes with players, the board, rival managers and the fans too  he had it all.
Ole Gunnar Solskjær has been drafted as a care taker manager and the move has work considerably as United beat Cardiff City 5-1 in their last match.

With Mourinho gone we look at players who could benefit from the Portuguese manager’s dismissal:

1) Paul Pogba

Mourinho and Paul Pogba were always in the news for various reasons. Pogba felt that Mourinho was not a good enough manager to manage the Red Devils, while Mourinho felt that he wasn’t a good enough player.

The former boss also questioned Pogba’s work ethic which lead him to be dropped quite often. With Solskjær stating that all players will get a clean chit, it may be time for Pogba to show why he was the most expensive player 2 years ago.

2) Luke Shaw

Like Pogba, Shaw was also questioned and heavily criticized for his work ethics. But Shaw bounced back and put in a string of good performances and was awarded with new 5 year contract.

There was a bust up once again between Mourinho and Shaw two weeks before his sacking. Shaw, who has fully recovered from this injury, can now focus on impressing his new manager and live upto the potential that he has.

3) Anthony Martial

Martial has quite a roller coaster time at Manchester United. He has come a long way after his dream debut against Liverpool 3 years ago. Like all players he too was involved in a bust up with Mourinho, who questioned his attitude on the training pitch.

As a result he was dropped on the bench last season while also missing out on France’s squad to Russia. He is starting to rediscover some of his last form and with Solskjær likely to impose a free flowing style of football, Martial may be back in business.

4) Alexis Sanchez

Sanchez’s move to Manchester United was a controversial one. With rivals City on the heels for the same player, United prized him away and also made him the highest paid player in the squad.

Sanchez, though has not been in the best of forms and has continuously suffered from injuries too. With a new manager in and provided he his fit Sanchez would want to silence the critics and play freely.

5) Marcus Rashford

From being called as the new poster boy of Manchester United to being regularly dropped by Mourinho, Rashford did not have a smooth ride with the Portuguese. He clearly is better off without the former manager, with his recent showing against Cardiff showed that he is no longer under pressure.

6) Eric Bailly

Bailly has it all to be a successful defender in the Premier League; height, agility, strength and game sense. Still somehow, he hasn’t succeeded.

It may be due to Mourinho, who often would criticize his own players to bring the best out of them. Time is running out for the Ivorian and if he is able to impress Solskjær he may prove to the difference between a top 4 finish and Champions.
