The Three Brilliant Players That Arsenal Can Use to Replace the Injured Hector Bellerin

Bellerin

Hector Bellerin tragically suffered a serious knee injury during his side’s 2-0 triumph in the London derby against Chelsea. Unai Emery’s problems with player injuries continue to pile up as the Spaniard had to be removed from the pitch with 18 minutes left. The severity of the injury has ruled out the right-back for the next nine months at least. Arsenal had to look towards to the 21 year old Ainsley Matiland-Niles to provide cover for the remainder of the game and that can potentially be a sign of things to come with Arsenal having their resources at the back stretched bare.

With that in mind here are the three players who can become the ideal Bellerin replacement to fill in for the injured right back.

1. Ainsley Maitland-Niles

He is a very bright young prospect and can be groomed aptly for the right back position. A true Arsenal prodigy, Ainsley Maitland-Niles could make a great fit and can use this as an opportunity to properly stake a claim in the team with his performances when the team needs him the most.

The Arsenal manager, when asked about potential Bellerin replacement , had this to say about the young Englishman potentially filling in.

“He is playing with good pieces, today also he played well I think.

“He can help us by playing like a right back or a right winger.

Apart from the slight lack of top flight experience, Ainsley Maitland-Niles would have served as the perfect Bellerin replacement for this cash strapped Arsenal club that is currently plagued by a horrible series of injuries.

2.  Seamus Coleman

An experienced campaigner for the Toffees, he has abundant experience in the Premier League and could serve as a makeshift Bellerin replacement. Currently on the wrong side of 30, Seamus Coleman’s experience could be of great value to the Gunners as they embark on the second phase of the chase with their aim of achieving European glory by lifting the Europa League still alive despite their wretched domestic run.

Seamus Coleman is the kind of contender that can perfectly fill the void left by Hector Bellerin . Adept at the ways of the Premier League, the Irish international sublimely fits the bill to become a short-term Bellerin replacement. Although would be difficult to prise him out from Everton, his current market value is a steal for the player of his caliber and Arsenal’s immediate requirements.

3. Rafael

The Brazilian international has already tasted premier league success with Manchester United. Having been mentored by Sir Alex Ferguson  in his early days, it was a series of unfortunate circumstances that saw him leave the club to pursue his footballing dreams in France.

He is a versatile player and can contribute towards attacks with his natural Brazilian flair. Not only does he add quality to a crumbling Arsenal defense but also provides the team with attacking prowess. At his current valuation he is a player up for grabs. Arsenal shouldn’t miss out on signing a player of his stature.
