Rift within the players : Arsenal players infuriated with Sanchez and Ozil

Arsenal duo Alexis Sanchez and Ozil have left their team-mates unhappy after failing to attend a club media day event last month according to James Olley

The Arsenal first-team squad were required to present themselves at the club’s London Colney training base for a series of media engagements to satisfy corporate and sponsorship agreements on September 21.

However all the players were seen in their photo shoot as the players modelled the official team suits for the season sponsored by Cavallaro Napoli , all expect Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla that is.

Santi Cazorla as we know is out till after christmas and was not present in the Premier League Squad photo shoot either so his absence is quite understandable.

Moreover the official club line regarding their absence is that the pair were sick and therefore unable to take part in the event. This comes as more of the concern because players like Danny Welback sidelined with a groin injury and certain others who were injured were all present whereas Sanchez had just played 90 minutes the night before in the League cup game against Doncaster.

Manager Arsene Wenger also had held a press conference that morning at which he talked about both players without mentioning any illness so this makes the clubs statement all the more deceptive.

[spacer height=”30px”]

Now James Olley via the Evening Standard reports that the fact that two most high profile players Sanchez and Ozil were unwilling to fulfill their contractual obligations has led to a number of players getting infuriated at their conduct.

[spacer height=”30px”]

Moreover the report also adds that this was not even the first time that the Arsenal First Team has been left irritated at these two for their seeming unwillingness to perform contractual and their share of media duties.

[spacer height=”30px”]

Last season during the time Arsenal lost seven games in 12 in all competitions between January to April, a number of players had voiced their frustration at Sanchez and Ozil reluctance to speak to the media.

[spacer height=”30px”]

This has led to a collective belief among the entire team that both players are on their way out of the club and will most certainly leave after the season.

[spacer height=”30px”]

Both have not shown any willingness in extending their contract terms despite having offers to double their wages on the table. Sanchez was on the verge of a move to Manchester City despite being offered a £300,000 a week deal only to see it collapse due to Arsenal being unable to sign Thomas Lemar on deadline day.

[spacer height=”30px”]

However right now both Sanchez and Ozil are being linked to a number of clubs across the continent and with each passing day its becoming increasingly likely that Arsenal are on the verge of losing their two best players in their team on a free next summer unless there is a miracle or two waiting to happen.

Meanwhile here is what the Arsenal supporters have to say about Sanchez and Ozil on social media :

[spacer height=”30px”]

Seems like Draxler, Lemar and Griezmann are the pick of the day among our supporters.

Also yesterday Lacazette made an attempt in getting a statue of his being made outside the Emirates by claiming that he would ask Grezmann to join us over here in London. Check it out here.
