Manchester United Prepare £100 million Bid For Biggest English Sensation Along With PSG

Sancho

Manchester United are set to go head to head with Paris Saint-Germain for the signature of Jadon Sancho, according to reports.

Sancho has been nothing short of brilliant this season. His performances for Borussia Dortmund have deservedly earned him the interest of several of Europe’s elite clubs. The youngster, still only 18 years of age, has been a regular starter for the German side, with 33 appearances as he continues to grow in importance for his side.

Sancho has contributed a very impressive 9 goals and 14 assists this season, and continues to dazzle with every passing game. Dortmund are keen to hold on to the prospect, but could be pressured into selling him should a massive bid be presented before them. If reports are anything to go by, that scenario  could well become a reality.

According to The Telegraph, Manchester United and PSG have both been weighing up moves for Sancho once the summer transfer window rolls around. The two clubs are no misers when it comes to getting what they want, and Dortmund might try to exploit this. The report goes on to state that a massive £100 million tussle could ensue, with the Bundesliga table toppers eager to make an enormous on the relatively minuscule sum of £8 million they paid Manchester City to sign him just two years ago.

United in particular, are desperate to sign a right winger. The club have not had an out-and-out right sided player since Luis Nani’s departure from the club in 2015. A number of players have been signed to fix the issue, but tried and failed before being sold in just a year.

As a result, the club have had to make do by forcing a number of players to play out of position. It hasn’t necessarily worked though. It has almost been like square pegs in a round hole. Players like Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata and in recent times, Diogo Dalot, have all been made to play out on the right.

Riding on the current wave of positivity surrounding the club, the United board are keen to solve a problem that has plagued the side for years as they look to compete for major honors again next season. It seems set to start with Sancho, who will become the club’s record signing and the most expensive ever British player if the deal goes through.
