Santi Cazorla left out of Arsenals 25 man Premier League squad

Santi Cazorla

Arsenal have announced their 25 man squad for the 2017/18 Premier League season with Spanish playmaker Santi Cazorla not in it.

[spacer height=”30px”]

The Spaniard has been out of the action for almost 12 months now and has appeared close to making his long awaited appearance in an Arsenal shirt from his regular social media updates.

[spacer height=”30px”]

Santi Cazorla hasn’t appeared for the Gunners since going off injured against Ludogorets last October and isn’t expected to be in action atleast untill end of November.

[spacer height=”30px”]

But now it seems Arsenal faithfuls will have to wait atleast until the month of January to see him in action in the Premier League.

[spacer height=”30px”]

With Arsenal releasing their 25 man squad for the Premier League with Santi Cazorla in it, it means even his he does recovers before the winter transfer window, he will have to wait till the updated list is released before being able to make an appearance in the League this season.

[spacer height=”30px”]

The squad also includes the two new signings Saed Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette along with a couple of unexpected names like Debuchy and Chuba Akpom.

[spacer height=”30px”]

Here is the full Arsenal squad for the 2017/2018 season :

[spacer height=”20px”]

Chuba Akpom

[spacer height=”20px”]

Hector Bellerin

[spacer height=”20px”]

Petr Cech

[spacer height=”20px”]

Calum Chambers

[spacer height=”20px”]

Francis Coquelin

[spacer height=”20px”]

Mathieu Debuchy

[spacer height=”20px”]

Mohamed Elneny

[spacer height=”20px”]

Olivier Giroud

[spacer height=”20px”]

Rob Holding

[spacer height=”20px”]

Deyan Iliev

[spacer height=”20px”]

Sead Kolasinac

[spacer height=”20px”]

Laurent Koscielny

[spacer height=”20px”]

Alexandre Lacazette

[spacer height=”20px”]

Matt Macey

[spacer height=”20px”]

Per Mertesacker

[spacer height=”20px”]

Nacho Monreal

[spacer height=”20px”]

Shkodran Mustafi

[spacer height=”20px”]

David Ospina

[spacer height=”20px”]

Mesut Ozil

[spacer height=”20px”]

Aaron Ramsey

[spacer height=”20px”]

Alexis Sanchez

[spacer height=”20px”]

Theo Walcott

[spacer height=”20px”]

Danny Welbeck

[spacer height=”20px”]

Jack Wilshere

[spacer height=”20px”]

Granit Xhaka.

[spacer height=”30px”]

Maybe the biggest news in the entire list is that of Alexis Sanchez being included instead of being featured in Manchester City colours on various news outlets front pages much to the dismay of City supporters.

[spacer height=”30px”]

Well even though we might have failed with an approach for Monaco’s Thomas Lemar, I am much more satisfied with the fact that we have in the end managed to keep a player like Alexis Sanchez.

[spacer height=”30px”]

By keeping him we are risking the potential loss of millions of pounds of revenues in transfer fees, if he chooses to leave for free next season without renewing his contract.

[spacer height=”30px”]

Doing so in a market where a 20 year old with one proper season of top flight football is going for 150m pounds, it speaks a lot about the kind of financial sacrifice Arsenal have made in keeping him just for one more season.

[spacer height=”30px”]

Also if you are wondering why our exciting academy youth products have been excluded from this list, its because they are included in the Under 21 squad and clubs are able to add as many Under-21 players as they wish.

[spacer height=”30px”]

Now its for these 25 men to prove if they can go on to lift the Premeir League crown in this fiercely competitive league.

And we do have our beloved diminutive Spanish central midfielder Santi Cazorla coming back in January to salvage our league season then if these people falter.

[spacer height=”30px”]

Till the next time
