Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Makes Final Decision On £550,000 a week Star Player And Its HUGE

Alexis Sanchez, United Vs PSG, Sanchez, solskjaer decision to sell sanchez

As the frustration piles up for the Red Devils, their newly appointed manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly ready to bid adieu to their promising signing in the 2018 winter window. According to reports, United are trying to seek a buyer for Alexis Sanchez around £50 million in the summer transfer window and might need a bit of luck to be able to do so.

The Chilean forward joined the club in January 2018 from the Gunners as a part of player swap deal for Henrikh Mkhitaryan. While he was initially welcomed at the Old Trafford with a flurry of excitement, he failed to live up to the expectations that were bestowed upon him by the fans.

Sanchez was at the heart of all the success of Arsenal in the last three seasons with them. But he failed to take the momentum into Old Trafford managing only 5 goals in 41 appearances for the club.

Even Jose Mourinho was left frustrated as the Chilean International seemed to have lost his mojo after arriving at Old Trafford.

Sanchez wants to make a mark before leaving but the chance seems long gone as he suffered a season-ending knee injury last month.

The 30-year old was at his optimistic best as he was quoted as saying.

“I want to keep showing my love for football. I know what I can do. I have belief in my ability. United are such an important club, not only in England but on a global level, and I would love to help bring a trophy to the supporters.

“Obviously, I want to make the United fans really happy. I want to score goals. I want to bring them joy. I want to win silverware. When we lost last year’s FA Cup final to Chelsea, I was not happy. Not happy at all. In fact, I was sad because I just wanted to make our wonderful supporters happy.”

“When I was younger, I liked United. I swear. As a small child I liked United, I really liked them and I want to show this and bring the people joy because, obviously, I want to win.” He added.

While Solskjaer is eyeing a summer revamp, the scouts would be at their sleepless best as United seek an attacking option to compliment the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial.

Another season which showed a lot of promise seems to be ending with frustration as United’s silverware hopes and a top-four finish hope was shattered with a twin defeat to Wolves. The Devils face Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal clash on Wednesday.

With little hope of silverware this season, an eye would always be on building a team for the future. Leaving out someone with morale as low as Alexis Sanchez can be a blessing in disguise for United as they can eye experienced personnel operating in the front three.

An exciting phase for United beckons!
