REVEALED | Steve N’Zonzi Bid Incoming According To The Players Father as Arsenal Try To Negotiate Release Clause

[spacer height=”20px”]This has been one of the busiest transfer windows for Arsenal over a decade or so. They have already signed the likes of Bernd Leno, Lucas Torreira, Sokratis, Guendouzi and Stephan Lichsteiner but that is not about it. The London club is eyeing a move for the World Cup winner, Steven N’Zonzi, from Sevilla and its being revealed by the players dad himself.

Steven N’Zonzi, 29, has been playing for Sevilla for the past three years. In 2016, the player was playing under the current Arsenal manager, Unai Emery and that is the year he helped Sevilla lift the Europa League. And now N’Zonzi has become Unai Emery’s main target to bring to the Emirates. This signing is just going to improve and strengthen their current squad. As Emery has managed him once so he knows the quality the player will add to his team and their sense of compatibility is why Arsenal are still trying to negotiate for the players services

N’Zonzi’s natural position is being a defensive midfielder. This would, in turn, help Arsenal’s defensive side as one of the strongest points about him is the Aerial Duels won by him. In addition to that, he will also be an attacking asset for the team because of his key sense of passing and quite brilliantly compliment Arsenals other defensive midfield signing Lucas Torreira.

N’Zonzi has been a long time target of the Emirates side with links going back to his playing days for Blackburn Rovers but when asked about a move for him last month Emery said,

[spacer height=”20px”]

“I know him but we haven’t made a move for him.”

That news now appears to be hoary as Arsenal’s constant pursuit of the player means Sevilla are willing to let their star midfielder leave but are set to be haggling over the transfer fee.  N’Zonzi’s current contract has a release clause of €40 million; the only problem in this deal is that Arsenal is not willing to pay that much for him. The London club is trying to negotiate in order to get the player at a lesser fee.

The reason for Arsenal to not pay such a hefty fee for N’Zonzi is mainly because the defensive midfielder is turning 30 this year. This year everything is apparently changing for Arsenal with a new manager on board, Administrative layers are changing, Playing style, everything but this that is the club trying to negotiate the transfer fee of the players and pocket pinch their way through the market. This quite clearly shows the deeper problems at the clubs with the clubs ownership being least interested in the daily affairs and treating it as a money making financial commodity.

According to the rumors in Spain, as Arsenal are negotiating to reduce the transfer amount so now Sevilla have moderated their position on the Frenchman and are keen to sell the World Cup winner to Arsenal but have one condition. Sevilla is ready to compromise if N’Zonzi’s father gives up his €5m share of transfer.

Weather or not Arsenal can reduce the price for a deal to be done is debatable but according to the reports emerging from Spain, Arsenal are about to launch a bid for the French World cup winner sooner rather than later with the Players father reportedly revealing that Arsenal are deeply interested in signing Steve N’Zonzi and will officially come up with a bid very soon. [spacer height=”30px”]

If the deal takes place it won’t be an issue for N’Zonzi to get used to the Premier League style of playing as he has already played for the clubs like Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City. And it also came to notice that after the Frenchman won the World Cup, Unai Emery had personally communicated with the player in order to congratulate him over the triumph.

This could be an outstanding signing for Arsenal as they really are in a need of a defensive midfielder as they don’t have a proper player for that position who is also adjusted to the Premier League. Wenger tried Granit Xhaka in that position and he failed miserably and is a more of a box-to-box player, likes to play at an offensive position. N’Zonzi can excel in this position and has earned praises for his performances against genuine attacking teams during his career.

Arsenal doesn’t have a proper defensive midfielder for a past decade or so and hence the signing of N’Zonzi would directly make him the number one player for that position and his World Cup victory with France is only going to boost his confidence and serve to bring the best out of him.
