Thank You Arsene ; End of an Era as Arsene is set to Retire…

Arsene Wenger has officially announced his plans to step down as manager at the end of this season. An era truly is coming to an end with this latest development from the North London side.[spacer height=”30px”]

After 22 years at the helm of affairs at Arsenal, Le Prof is ready to move on. This comes as a shocking, welcomed idea and to be honest painful piece of news.[spacer height=”30px”]

It is too premature to begin a eulogy about The Enigma of a man that Arsene is and has been for The Gunners since October 1996, after taking over from Bruce Roich.[spacer height=”30px”]

Nevertheless, it is imperative to state clearly,  that despite the uproar that has hastened this latest development, the love that The Arsenal faithful have for him is indisputable.[spacer height=”30px”]

His desire and hunger for success in the first decade of his managerial role, will always bring fond memories.[spacer height=”30px”]

Most memorable will remain, The year of The Invincibles with a 49 game unbeaten streak in the 2003/04 league season.[spacer height=”30px”]

The vision behind the construction of a 64000 seater stadium, state of the art facilities and playing style will always be a reminder of Arsene Wenger’s deeds.[spacer height=”30px”]

The second decade of his managerial career at The Emirates were not as kind, as a trophyless run berthed division amongst fans.[spacer height=”30px”]

A closer look at this reality can be largely connected with his multiple-role playing for The North London side, ever since the absence of David Dein, thereby diluting his focus from his primary assignment.[spacer height=”30px”]

With only 5 league games left to the official end of the season, it is important all factions of The Arsenal faithful, come together to give the Manager and players all the support they can get in a bid to end the season on a high…[spacer height=”30px”]

Next up is West Ham United at the Emirates which The Gunners should ideally cruise through as they are at home.[spacer height=”30px”]
