Ivan Rakitic, one of the most coveted midfielders in Europe, might be on his way out of Barcelona according to reports from Mundo Deportivo.
The Croatian midfielder turned down a move to PSG last summer, deciding not to follow the footsteps of former teammate Neymar.

The Catalan club has refused to renew the contract at the moment, though. Barcelona has Ivan Rakitic under contract till 2021 and does not feel it is the right time to for a new deal citing unavailability of funds.
It is believed that some of Europe’s elites are interested in securing the service of the ex-Sevilla man. Manchester United, Juventus, And Bayern Munich are just some of the big names battling for the midfielder’s signature shall he and Barcelona choose to part ways.
Manchester United, who are in midst of a rebuilding process, need to strengthen the midfield and Rakitic will bring both quality and experience with him shall he decide to come to Old Trafford.
Ivan Rakitic reportedly wants to remain a Barcelona player next season as well but will consider departing the club if his wage demands are not met.
Ernesto Valverde, manager of Barcelona, also want the midfielder to continue as one of his players. However, Barcelona has indicated that they may let go of Rakitic if they receive the right offer, which is upward of €50 million.
PSG would have doubled Rakitic’s wages had he decided to leave for Parish last summer and now Manchester United could potentially provide something similar to the Croatian.
Will the Red Devils pay more than € 50 million for a player who is on the wrong side of 30 is something we will have to wait and see. Also, if United do decide to spend on the Croatian midfielder, they would face stiff completion from all Around Europe.
