Mata, Lukaku, Sanchez | How Manchester United Team Will Line Up Vs Brighton Hove Albion

Jose Mourinho has provided team updates ahead of the game against Brighton Hove Albion.

Manchester United visit the Falmer Stadium to face Brighton Hove Albion for the 2nd league game of the season on Sunday evening. The Red Devils will look to get back-to-back victories in the Premier League after beating Leicester City by 2-1 at Old Trafford on last Friday.

Mourinho’s men would be confident of securing all three points against Brighton Hove Albion, after they put aside a poor transfer window and relieved the air among the faithful at Old Trafford with convincing performance against Leicester City on the opening Premier League day.

United fans will be hopeful to see their marquee No. 7 Alexis Sanchez to deliver after an underwhelming display on the opening day.

Goalkeeper : David De Gea

De Gea put aside his poor showing at the World Cup and was back to his brilliant best again in the Red of United. He started off where he had left last season winning the gloden glove award with 18 clean sheets, most notably with some exceptional saves at The Emirates and Anfield and will look to continue with that vs Brighton Hove Albion

Defenders : Darmian, Bailly, Lindelof, Shaw

After a Man-of-the Match performance Luke Shaw might just have won over Mourinho and is likely to keep his place. United fans finally got to see the centre-back pairing that they have been hoping for some time. Both Bailly and Lindelof were rock-solid in an impressive display against Leicester. With Valencia and Dalot injured, Darmian should start again vs Brighton Hove Albion, unless he is replaced by Ashley Young who can fill in at right-back having proved himself adept at left-back.

Midfielders : Pogba, Pereira, Fred

Pereira put in an exceptional performance in the defensive mid-field role, he grabbed his opportunity with both hands repalcing the injured Matic. New signing Fred put in an exquisite display against the Foxes, he has already endeared himself to the Fans.

Pogba was doubtful to start against Leicester having missed the pre-season, but given the arm-band he scored within 3 minutes after the start of the game. He has been much appraised by his fellow team-mates about his leadership skills and given the responsibility in the absence of club captain Valencia, he did a commendable job. Mourinho shouldn’t disturb this mid-field trio against Brighton Hove Albion.

Attackers: Mata, Lukaku, Sanchez

Rashford needs to up his game if he wants to pip Lukaku for the striker position. He was far from convincing against Leicester and should be replaced by Lukaku against Brighton Hove Albion. Alexis Sanchez is expected to keep his place, it’s been a frustrating time for him since his move to United failing to replicate the form he showed at Arsenal. Although Mourinho will stick to Sanchez for the time being. Mata is expected to keep his place on the right-side, after United failed to sign a right winger in this transfer window.

Starting XI (4-3-3): De gea, Darmian, Shaw, Lindelof, Bailly, Pereira, Fred, Herrera, Mata, Lukaku, Sanchez
