4-3-3 | FOUR Massive Changes Made With Sanchez, Pogba and Matic Starting : How United Should Lineup To Win Against Chelsea

Chelsea, Chelsea Vs United

After their self realising defeat against PSG in the Champions League, United will look to bounce back against Chelsea in the FA Cup fifth round fixture that takes place on Tuesday at Stamford Bridge.

United have previously lost both the fixtures against Chelsea when drawn in the FA Cup for the past two years.

Last season, they had to taste a bitter defeat in the final at Wembley, after United failed to find a way past the dogged Chelsea defense.

This time around, there will be some positives to take from this seasons league match away to Chelsea, when Mourinho’s men came so close to beating them at their own ground, coming from a goal down at half time.

However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will not be taking this game lightly even though Chelsea have lost two of their last four games, especially conceding a combined ten goals away from home at Bournemouth and United’s noisy neighbours City.

United’s winger duo of Martial and Lingard, both will be sidelined for this fixture, after picking up a groin and hamstring injury respectively.

With this is mind, United are set to miss out the energy of Lingard and the skillful Elegance of Martial in what could be one of their most important fixtures of the season.

That being said, let’s take a look at the Strongest Predicted lineup that United can possibly field, that could start against Chelsea this Tuesday evening.

Predicted Lineup For United Against Chelsea:

Formation 4-3-3

Ole will be sticking to the formation that has brought success to him so far.  And with currently, the aim being to get back to winning ways, Ole will not aim to experiment.

Goalkeeper : David De Gea

There’s no question about who’ll start the match, as he’s proven himself  innumerable times in a number of big games and could be very well prove to be the reason United come away with a famous win from Stamford Bridge.

Back Four : Dalot, Smalling, Lindelof, Shaw

Diogo Dalot could be given the nod to start ahead of Ashley Young, as he would be expected to rest ahead of the big game on the weekend.

Smalling should be back in the side for the trip to London after his brilliant performance last week against Fulham. With Bailly being a little shaky against PSG, it’ll not be a bad idea for Ole to weigh up his options.

Lindelof despite the last result will start because of the solidity and talent he’s shown since Ole has taken over.

Luke Shaw will start as he looks to build and keep the momentum going ahead of the big weekend game.

Midfield : Matic, Pogba, Herrera

Matic was one of the few impressive players against PSG that did influence the game although not enough to sway it in United’s favour.

He’ll be keeping his place as United can’t afford any more complacencies in the next month.

Herrera will most likely retain his place after a gritty showing against PSG which eventually didn’t result in much for the club.

Paul Pogba was one of the few shockers against PSG as he failed to show up on the pitch, despite the kind of performances he’s been displaying in the last month.

He will start with a point to prove to everybody to build his case for building the team around him in the future.

Attack : Sanchez, Lukaku, Rashford

Sanchez didn’t make much of an impact coming off the bench for the injured Martial. The game against Chelsea could bring him back in good books of Chelsea if he’s able to be the difference maker for us.

Romelu Lukaku was brought on a little too late to make a difference as his ten minute cameo didn’t do much of a difference to either side’s set up.

With Ole’s rotation being of good use, Lukaku could come in to do a job for the club.

Rashford was another one who was looking threatening, but ultimately couldn’t do much as he was not getting enough service. He’ll look to provide chances and make some for himself as United aim to beat Chelsea in the FA cup for the first time in three years.
