Agent of 28-Year-Old Confirms Player In ‘Advanced Talks’ For A Transfer

Matteo Darmian to United, Darmian moves to Juventus from United

United defender Matteo Darmian’s desire to move back to Italy is longer a secret after being constantly linked to several Italian clubs since the winter transfer window. Inter, Napoli and Juventus are some of the options, with a move to Turin being the likeliest scenario. [spacer height=”30px”]

Having failed to secure a starting spot under Jose Mourinho, just featuring 5 times last season. His chances have further diminished with United signing 19-year old Diogo Dalot from Porto , who can play at both  left-back and right-back.

[spacer height=”30px”]United reportedly are holding out for a fee in the region of 18m , Tullio Tinti the Italian’s agent was also pictured after meeting with Juventus hierarchy on Wednesday and Tinti has been claimed to be in “Advanced Talks “ with Juventus over a potential move to Turin.

[spacer height=”30px”]With Juventus under Allegri usually playing with a back three, Darmian would likely be used as a wing-back, a role he is more suited for. The Serie A champions having already signed the portuguese right back Joao Cancelo, which means Darmian would most likely be deployed on the left-side, replacing the Brazilian Alex Sandro. [spacer height=”30px”]

And at the same same time Alex Sandro has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford, with Shaw being injured for a major part of the last season Ashley Young had been deployed as his replacement and enjoyed a stellar season impressing the entire season and for England at the World Cup in Russia, but Young at 32 is not getting younger, and United need a more dynamic replacement in the left back position kind of like the player whose exit Matteo Darmian is facilitating at Juventus. [spacer height=”30px”]

Gareth Bale is on the move and here is why Manchester United is simply his most Preferred Choice

[spacer height=”30px”]Shaw has deeply struggled for fitness and form, having just started 8 times and featuring a total 22 times since the arrival of Mourinho at Utd. However Shaw will be hoping for a strong pre-season, especially after Mourinho confirmed he is indeed a part of his plans for the coming season. With the departure of Matteo Darmian all but settled Luke Shaw will really be looking to rediscover some of the form that made United buy him in the first place as a replacement for the legendary Patrice Evra. [spacer height=”30px”]

For now it would really be the best decision if Matteo Darmian does indeed move to Italy in search of regular football because with Mourinho under real pressure to deliver a League Title and City seemingly strengthening in almost every position, adding dynamic full backs to the squad seems a priority, which would mean even reduced time on the pitch for the Italian defender.[spacer height=”30px”]

[spacer height=”30px”]Darmian is a very enterprising player , but he never could establish himself at United. His potential exit would potentially mean an opportunity for United to concentrate on adding young players to the squad similar to Dalot or buying experienced impact full players like Alex Sandro. [spacer height=”30px”]

A Potential swap deals is reportedly on the cards, with United offering cash-plus Darmian in exchange of Alex Sandro. However with Luke Shaw’s future hanging in the balance it would be quite a decision for the United hierarchy whether to go all in for Alex Sandro or be patient with Shaw and focus on his development.[spacer height=”30px”]

Luke Shaw always seems to have a point to prove on the pitch which is why despite incessant criticism by Jose Mourinho, Shaw always seems increasingly determined in trying to prove himself on the pitch every time and for this he probably deserves a bit more understanding and patience. [spacer height=”60px”]
