Fresh from their 3-2 comeback victory against Newcastle United at Old Trafford on Saturday evening in Premier League fixture, there seems to be no end to Jose Mourinho’s woes this season with reports suggesting that a number of players want a transfer. Rumors or for real? We will find about it soon!
According to the Daily Mail, claims that not only Paul Pogba, but Juan Mata, Andre Herrera, Andreas Periera, club captain Antonio Valencia, Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw are all considering their options in the January transfer window.
While Pogba has been in the news all along, ever since Barcelona’s failed bid and his verbal spat with Mourinho, it is surprising that all these players also want a transfer.
Mata and Herrera’s contracts expire in the summer and as of now, are reluctant to sign renewals. Both have shown signs of improvement under Mourinho with Mata also being involved in the first goal that triggered the late comeback against Newcastle. But both are behind Fred, Pogba and Matic in midfield options.

Martial and Shaw both are reluctant to sign new contracts with Martial being heavily linked with Chelsea, Bayern Munich and PSG. Pereira has also grew unhappy under Mourinho with limited first team opportunities and the new signing in Fred.
United’s season has been off to a turbulent start with wins coming few and far in between in all competitions. They have collected 13 points so far from 8 games in the Premier League. Their win against Newcastle on Saturday night was a much needed one and eased some pressure off Mourinho after a run of 4 games without a win. They will hope to continue this form to the next few matches.
For now, it will be an October International break for 2 weeks before they return to domestic competitions to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in Premier League fixture and host Juventus in the Champions league.
It will be interesting to see if the rumors are for real or not, there will be a major overhaul in the United squad. We hope they stay on and steady the ship at the club, bringing the old glory back although they still have a long way to go.
