3-4-3 | Massive Blow for United : Strongest Predicted United Starting XI for Key Clash vs Arsenal

Manchester United vs Arsenal, Arsenal, Manchester United, Wenger vs Mourinho

After making it seven wins in a row, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United take on Arsenal on Friday in the fourth round of FA cup.

With Arsenal having beaten Chelsea in the league last time out, they too will be on a boosted morale.

Ole’s team will be looking to make it eight out of eight in all competitions, while Arsenal will be looking to build on from their win against Chelsea.

Here’s the predicted lineup for Manchester United against Arsenal in the FA cup:

United Goalkeeper:

Sergio Romero is set to start with David De Gea having not made the trip to London. Lee Grant will be deputising with Romero on Friday for the fixture.

United Back Four:

Antonio Valencia could be recalled into the side to start. His experience could come in handy for the fixture, and he had scored on in the trip to Emirates last season in the league.

Matteo Darmian and Phil Jones could be selected as the centre back duo, as they did last time in the FA Cup against reading and put in a solid performance and coming away with a clean sheet.

For the left back spot, Ashley Young could reprise the role after having started at right back against Brighton. With Luke Shaw still Ill, Young is the only sensible option available.

United Midfield:

Even though this is an FA Cup fixture, Ole might not rotate his side heavily, giving Arsenal and their quality respect.

Nemanja Matic, Ander Herrera, and Paul Pogba all three are favorites to start as their combination and chemistry is very good.

With United actually having no direct substitute for Matic, there’s no question about his place in the team.

Herrera will pip Fred to the spot because of the experience and understanding of the fixture.

Paul Pogba with his sparkling form is untouchable currently, so there’s no argument about his spot on the team sheet.

United Attack:

Ole has praised Alexis Sanchez highly in his last few press conferences and is likely to start against his old club. Alexis Sanchez will get his favoured left flank starting spot, and would be looking to persuade ole to give him a continuous run of fixtures by putting in an impressive performance ahead of the upcoming UCL clashes.

Romelu Lukaku seems likely to start up front with Rashford enjoying a rest ahead of a busy schedule set to come in the next few days.

Juan Mata could be the man down the right flank which will allow Jesse Lingard rest for the upcoming fixtures.
