Old Trafford Giants Lead The Race To Sign Former Manchester City Star

Jadon Sancho to Manchester United

One of the most exciting English teenager in recent years Jadon Sancho has been linked with Manchester United move. After a breakthrough season at Borussia Dortmund, he has emerged as a potential target for many English clubs including both of the Manchester giants, with French giants Paris Saint Germain also keeping tabs on him.

Manchester United are keen to bolster their squad and manager Jose Mourinho is set to be backed by £100m in January transfer window. According to The Guardian the Portuguese wants to add firepower to his attack and add backup to under-firing Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez. Sancho is right footed similar to Sanchez and plays on the left wing where he can cause real damage in the opponent penalty area.

Manchester City are also interested in bringing the wonderkid back to the Etihad Stadium, not long after seeing him make the switch to German giants. Pep Guardiola’s side do have a buy-back option on Sancho, but the fee is yet to be revealed.

The red hot form of the youngster hasn’t just impressed Gareth Southgate who gave him a chance in the recent national team but also the United boss who is keen to add goalscorers in his team. The 18-year-old already has five goals and eight assists to his name in 17 appearances starting just 3 of those. After scoring in the Champions League fixture against Atletico Madrid, he capped a fine week by scoring a brace against Hertha Berlin in the Bundesliga fixture on Saturday.

Dortmund manager Lucien Favre was full of praise on Sancho, saying his achievements at such a young age were incredible.

“Of course he has a lot of potential. He’s only 18, and he’s already playing with the England national team,

At the age of 18, that’s something special, you don’t see it very often.

Of course he can still improve a lot, that’s quite normal and he knows that. But he’s already very good.

He knows that he still has to improve. He just has to keep working hard, keep working calmly, and needs to have a lot of fun.”

He seems very happy with his club and is aiming to get into the first team by adding extra gear to his performance.
