4-3-3| Ole Springs Massive Surprise By Naming Debutante As United Have SEVEN PLayers Out : Strongest Possible United Lineup Against Southampton

United Vs Southampton, Southampton, Pogba and Fernandes

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may rotate some of his players tonight for the United Vs Southampton game. With almost 7 first team players sidelined due to injuries, it will be a tough task for the Norwegian to shuffle his team.

Although players have shown promise in the recent matches, Ole cannot take any match lightly from here on. Faced with multiple challenges and buoyed by high expectations, Ole will have to field his strongest lineup for the United Vs Southampton clash keeping in mind the visit to Paris, few days later.

United trail Arsenal by 1 point and United would be hoping to not let their chance for a top 4 finish slip. Also, United lead Chelsea only by 2 points with the Blues playing a match less. So, tonight’s clash is very crucial to the Reds.

The Red Devils are on a 11 match unbeaten streak in the Premier League since Ole took over the reigns from Jose. They will look to continue their winning momentum. Ole’s men will also look to rediscover their form at home as they have astonishingly collected just two points from their last three games at Old Trafford.

A flurry of important matches in the next two weeks in multiple competitions promises a stern test for Ole. Keeping in mind all the hindrances and the challenges he has to face in the coming few weeks, the interim manager will look to select his best possible combination for the United Vs Southampton fixture.

Predicted Line-up For The United Vs Southampton Clash:

Goalkeeper: David de Gea

One of the best goalkeepers in the world or probably the best, De Gea’s selection is an automated choice. There are no doubts over his selection. He has recently kept a 100th Premier League clean sheet and we are hoping he increases that tally in tonight’s match.

Defenders: Diogo Dalot, Chris Smalling, Victor Lindelof, Marcos Rojo

With very important fixtures coming up against PSG, Arsenal and Wolves in three different competitions, Ole would certainly prefer to rest his two main fullbacks. This season, Luke Shaw has been on fire and his performances have been phenomenal. His exclusion purely comes on a tactical basis. He is currently on 9 yellow cards and a booking today would make him unavailable for the important fixture at the Emirates.

Diogo Dalot has proved to be lethal offensively. He has time and again delivered deadly crosses and could be useful in tonight’s United Vs Southampton match.

Victor Lindelof and Chris Smalling’s inclusion deserves no debate. They have been top-notch the entire season. They have been supreme in tackling and dealing with set-pieces. Ole shouldn’t tinker with that combination.

Marcos Rojo has been cleared by the medical team and he’s fit and raring to go. The Argentine can be a useful left-back and his aggressiveness is his biggest charm.

Midfielders: Scott McTominay, Andreas Periera, Paul Pogba

This trio could be United’s midfield tonight. They are all Academy graduates and can compliment each other very well. In the absence of regular stalwarts like Herrera and Matic, Pogba will once again be required to bring out his A-game for the team with this amateurs supporting him.

The Frenchman needs to have a commanding presence on the field tonight. Scott has been comfortable in the position of a DM since the Liverpool game. He has shown flair, strength, maturity and intelligence in that position. Fred had a disappointing last game against Crystal Palace and could be replaced by Periera.

Forwards: Marcus Rashford, Romelu Lukaku, Tahith Chong

Ole has been positive about Marcus Rashford’s injury and expects him to be fit for the match. Lukaku had a wonderful evening the last time he played up-front. Lukaku scored two delightful goals and has the manager’s backing after coming under heavy criticism.

Alexis disappointed in the match against Crystal Palace and could be well out in the summer, if his sorry form continues.

Chong could be handed his Premier League debut tonight by Ole in the United Vs Southampton fixure. He impressed in the pre-season tour under Jose and has serious goal involvements in the academy games. He is a bright young prospect who could shine under Ole.
