EXCITING | Time for Arsenal To Deliver A Performance And Here Is The Best Possible Team To Do It

Arsenal Vs Valencia, Valencia, predicted lineup

It’s not exactly rocket science at this stage of the Europa league semi final, second leg vs Valencia.

Arsenal are 3-1 up against Valencia and go to the Mestalla Stadium, knowing that they have to either shut the gates and keep Valencia from scoring or score an early goal to establish control of the tie and get to the final.

The problem with that is Arsenal’s away form and their ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. The one thing that has prevented the gunners progress for years , still exists, a weak and disjointed defence.

It’s unthinkable that Arsenal should lose but the North London club specialise on making life difficult, if not impossible for themselves and if Valencia get an reasonably early goal, the nerves in the Arsenal backline could start to jangle.

Please god, no Lichtsteiner, no Mustafi, my heart just can’t take it, not with Xhaka in the same side. It’s like being blindfolded on the edge of a minefield and stepping forward, in the hope of reaching the other side.

No excuses, Emery has nothing to play for in the premier league and he might as well put the kids out against Burnley, whilst fielding his strongest side in the Europa league.

There are no more chances and if this collection of players can’t find the motivation to win this competition now, then they deserve nothing.

Liverpool showed that they had enough heart and desire to beat Barcelona out of sight, in the second leg of their Champions league semi final and Arsenal need to be as creative and inspired to win through.

Denis Cheryshev, Gonçalo Guedes, Daniel Parejo and Rodrigo Moreno will provide the threat going forward and only a committed display will do.

Arsenal need to pepper balls in from the flanks and through the middle for their two strikers and the gunners only need one chance to put Valencia on the back foot.

It will be a nervy and potentially a long and painful evening, especially if Valencia bring their ‘A’ game.

Predicted Starting Team –

Cech, Sokratis, Koscielny Monreal

Maitland-Niles, Torreira Xhaka, Kolasinac

Ozil, Mkhitaryan,

Lacazette.

The Highbury Flyer
Anti Kroenke , anti Gazidis but always a gooner. Still wishes he could watch from the stands at the Highbury library.
