Manchester United Keen on Signing Copenhagen's Amin Chiakha

According to latest reports in Denmark, Manchester United are very interested in signing Copenhagen wonderkid Amin Chiakha this summer. The Danish prodigy has been turning heads with his performances for the club’s under-19 side and has likewise attracted the attention of the Red Devils.

Amin Chiakha began his youth career with Danish club Sundby BK. He joined the Copenhagen academy in 2017 at the age of 11 and has been a part of the club’s youth setup ever since. His performances for Copenhagen U-19 has earned him considerable attention from major European clubs.

The 18-year-old has scored 29 goals and provided 3 assists this season across all competitions (stats via Transfermarkt). He also finished as the top scorer of 2023–24 UEFA Youth League. He has also impressed with the national team, featuring for the U-17 & U-18 sides.

As reported by Danish publication Tipsbladet (via Caught Offside), Manchester United have expressed interest in signing Copenhagen prodigy Amin Chiakha and are planning to make a move this summer. The attacker’s impressive displays has attracted the attention of the English club.

The Red Devils are renowned for nursing and grooming young talents, with Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho being the most recent examples. The former English champions have done it in the past and can help the young Danish striker realise his true potential.

Meanwhile, the Dane will be a great long-term asset for the Red Devils while also adding quality and depth to their attacking department. The poor performance of the club this season has made them opt for a major revamp of their squad. Amin Chiakha is young, fast, skillful, and has tremendous potential, making him ideal for Manchester United.

However, signing the Denmark starlet will not be an easy task. He is being tracked by a number of top European clubs from England, Holland and Germany. The Red Devils are facing a tough competition from their city rivals Manchester City.

There are two things that can create problems for Erik ten Hag’s side. First, Man City are in a better financial situation than United, which can be a hurdle while negotiating the transfer fee.
