The Five Mind Blowing Things Learned From Arsenal’s Emphatic Win Against Bournemouth That Will Provide Massive Encouragement Ahead Of NLD

Arsenal Vs Bournemouth

Arsenal slipped five goals past a hapless Bournemouth defense in a bid to maintain their position in the points table. With the win in the Arsenal Vs Bournemouth game, Arsenal have now registered their eighth successive Premier League home win. They stand one point ahead of a resurgent Manchester United side for the fourth qualification spot for the Champions League.

Mesut Ozil started the proceedings for the host with a delicious chip that put the Gunners ahead in the 4th minute.  He set up Mkhitaryan to hurl in another goal for the hosts. Miscommunication between Leno and Guendouzi allowed the Cherries to net in a simple goal.

This however didn’t breakdown the momentum that the Gunners had started with. Stand-in skipper Laurent Koscienly headed home another from a set-piece. Aubameyang further added to the misery of the visitors when he calmly slotted the fourth Arsenal goal of the night. The final nail in the coffin was provided by substitute Alexandre Lacazette when he blasted a free-kick into the net.

This win couldn’t have come at a better time for the Gunners and the margin of the victory was the icing on the cake. Five goals from five different scorers was the highlight of the Arsenal Vs Bournemouth match as Arsenal trounced a sorry Bournemouth. In the build-up to the North-London derby, this was the perfect fixture for the strikers to warm up their boots with an eye on the premier league standings.

Let’s Take a Look At The Exciting Prospects Of The Arsenal Vs Bournemouth Game:

1. Mesut Ozil has finally found his rhythm

It was the German international who made the score sheet tick early into the Arsenal Vs Bournemouth game. He also assisted the second goal. It was an overall better display from a player who has come under intense scrutiny in recent times.

He linked up the players well and was good on the ball. Ozil brought back the much needed creativity in the team. A player like him, when in the mood, can wreak havoc on the opposition. Unai will probably play him more often after today’s performance.

2. Henrikh Mkhitaryan is finally showing consistency

Since his arrival at the Emirates following a swap deal, Mkhi has been relatively inconsistent for the Gunners. He has shown flashes of brilliance only to be undermined by injuries and inconsistency.

Last night, he was an absolute beast in the attack. His intelligence on the field was evident when he had the ball. Mkhitaryan linked up with Ozil and tormented the Bournemouth defense. Since the last few matches, he has been delivering consistently for the Gunners. Unai and the fans would want to see the revamped Mkhitaryan more often.

3. Laurent Koscielny gave a rock-solid performance

Koscielny performed his defensive duties with precision. His slides, tackles, clearances were all spot on. It is still a mystery how Arsenal survived so many matches without him.

He was a towering presence in the defense and bossed it completely. The goal was an addition to the services this Frenchman can provide. He is one of the best Center Backs at Unai’s disposal and playing him against Spurs is a no brainer.

4. Unai Emery with the perfect gameplan

Emery started with a 3-4-3 formation instead of a conventional 4-2-3-1 in the Arsenal Vs Bournemouth game. Three Center Backs with cover from fullbacks provided Arsenal’s tendency to leak goals. The defenders made no mistake and complimented Emery’s faith in them.

Except for a glitch when Guendouzi misplaced a pass, everything sailed smooth for Arsenal defensively. Unai got his substitutes spot on and his decision to continue faith in Ozil and Mkhitaryan reaped dividends. Fans will be expecting more of this on Saturday.

5. Shoddy midfield

When all the departments clicked for Arsenal it was their midfield that let them down. All players put in a hell of a performance except for the two most acclaimed newly signed midfielders, Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira. They were too loose with possession and the Cherries completely dominated them. They panicked easily and never linked with the attackers. Guendouzi was guilty of committing a critical error that lead to a goal and spoiled a clean sheet for Leno. Granit Xhaka was dearly missed in the midfield today.
