The Gunners are all set to face Ukrainian side FC Vorskla Poltava with an objective to grab all 3 points and secure top spot in Group E of The Europa League. The fixture had been shifted from Poltava to Kiev after martial law was declared in certain areas of the nation subsequent to rising tensions with Russia. Ahead of the Vorskla game, the following updates are available with reference to injuries:
Alexandre Lacazette :
The French striker who’s been in red-hot form for the club this season had endured a groin injury, resulting in withdrawal from the French squad during the international break as well as missing out on the 2-1 victory against Bournemouth. The 27-year-old appears to be staying in London ahead of the Europa league fixture against Vorskla but looks set to feature in the North London Derby.
Laurent Koscielny :
The captain featured for his team for the first time in 6 months on monday in the U-23s match against Derby County. The Frenchman suffered an achilles injury back in May and was handed 45 minutes of game time against Derby. It was revealed that he won’t be travelling to face FC Vorskla Poltava.

Stephan Lichtsteiner :
The veteran right-back sustained a right hamstring injury during the Europa League clash with Sporting Lisbon. He appears to be back in full training and is expected to feature in Kiev against Vorskla, alleviating the defensive woes for Unai Emery’s side.
Nacho Monreal :
The Spaniard picked up a hamstring injury in the club’s 5-1 win over Fulham in early October and is unlikely to feature against Vorskla. He’s expected to be out for 2 weeks and will not be travelling to Kiev and is set to miss out on the North London Derby as well. The gaffer will probably need to turn his head towards the likes of Ainsley Maitland-Niles or Carl Jenkinson to play at left-back as to allow Sead Kolasinac to feature in the premier league.
Konstantinos Mavropanos :
The Greek youngster who impressed fans last season is still recovering from a groin injury and has not played a single minute this season. He’s expected to return to full training in December and as a result will not travel to face FC Vorskla.
Danny Welbeck :
The 28-year-old who had been in fine form for the Gunners was carried out on a stretcher during the Europa league clash against Sporting Lisbon. He jumped for a header and landed badly on his right ankle. Amid his surgery, the manager had revealed that the English striker may not feature again for the club this season.

I think Emery will opt for using the young players at his disposal significantly as it was revealed that 12 out of 20 players in the travelling squad to face FC Vorskla are academy players. Unwillingness to risk further injuries ahead of the North London Derby as well as already making into knockout stages of the Europa League seem to be the cause of this decision.
