Arsenal Transfer-List Seven First-Team Players Including Two Fan Favourites, Club Ready to Accept Offers

Arteta's Arsenal, Mikel Arteta, contract extension, Arsenal players sale offers

According to latest reports, Arsenal are considering the sale of seven first-team players and are open to entertaining offers in the upcoming transfer window. The North Londoners are planning to upgrade their squad in their bid to challenge for the Premier League title next season.

The Gunners came very close to winning the Premier League this season with the title fight going down till the last match-week. However, they eventually lost out to Manchester City by just 2 points. There is no denying that the team played brilliantly throughout the season under manager Mikel Arteta’s supervision, but it was not enough.

Therefore, the Gunners hierarchy have decided to upgrade the squad to back the Spanish boss. The club want to cement their place as one of Premier League’s front-runners and are willing to sell or offload any player from the squad as per the manager’s wish.

As reported by Metro, Arsenal have put seven players up for sale and are willing to accept reasonable offers for them in the upcoming transfer window. They will listen to proposals for Aaron Ramsdale, Eddie Nketiah, Emile Smith Rowe, Reiss Nelson, Kieran Tierney, Nuno Tavares and Albert Sambi Lokonga.

Aaron Ramsdale has been struggling for playing time since the arrival of David Raya from Brentford on loan last summer. The Spanish shot-stopper has been Arteta’s preferred keeper throughout the campaign and the club are expected to make his stay permanent this summer.

Meanwhile, the English keeper has expressed his unhappiness over the lack of game time and is open to accepting offers away from the Emirates. He has attracted interest from Newcastle United as well as Wolves while the Gunners are also looking for replacements.

Academy graduate Emile Smith Rowe is also dealing with limited playing time, having featured for only 474 minutes across all competitions in the 2023-24 season (Stats via Transfermarkt). The 23-year-old began his tenure at the Emirates with a lot of promise but now is on the verge of getting sold with injuries derailing his Gunners career.

Meanwhile, defender Kieran Tierney has hinted at a summer exit. He was a first-team regular two seasons back, but it changed after the arrival of Oleksandr Zinchenko. He was sent on a season-long loan at Real Sociedad last summer and expects to be sold following the completion of his loan spell. Talking to The Atheltic, he said:

“There is every chance I will leave. Look at the squad depth in that position now.”

‘They have Zinchenko, Timber, Tomiyasu, & Kiwior. Four players can play there. So if I go back and it’s the same as before then I’m not silly, I know the chances are I’ll be leaving.”

Albert Sambi Lokonga has spent the last two seasons on loan and has suggested that he could leave the Emirates permanently this summer. Nuno Tavares has also failed to impress Arteta, having only made 28 appearances for Arsenal since joining the club in 2021.

There are more players whose future are not secure under the Spanish manager and are likely to be axed soon too, if not sold this summer. Reportedly, the Gunners will also be evaluating the future of Thomas Partey, who has just one year left in his contract at the Emirates.

Only time will tell who will remain at the Emirates and who will be sold by Mikel Arteta. The manager will be looking to bring in replacements too. He will want to add players that will make the squad stronger, help him drop fewer points, and fulfill the objective of lifting the elusive Premier League.

The Spanish boss has the full backing from the Arsenal hierarchy including another big transfer budget for this summer. It clearly shows that the North Londoners are determined to strengthen their squad even more. Their ultimate aim is to lift the Premier League trophy which they haven’t won in the last 20 years.
