Jose Mourinho has announced Manchester United’s 25-man squad for the 2017/2018 season for Premier League fixtures after conclusion of the transfer window.
After closing of the transfer window, each team playing in the Premier League has to send a 25-man list who will be eligible to play. Other than that, only members of the U-21 squad are allowed to play over and above the 25-man squad.
Not more than 17 players are liable for selection who do not fulfill the home-grown player criteria. The rest of the squad has to fulfill the criteria.
The 25-man list can only be changed during a transfer window.
Jose Mourinho has spent around £145m in this transfer window on Romelu Lukaku, Victor Lindelof and Nemanja Matic. All the new signings are included in the 25-man squad.
Although Zlatan Ibrahimovic is unavailable until December due to his ligament damage to his right knee, is included in the Premier League squad by Jose Mourinho.
Marcus Rashford, Jake Borthwick-Jackson and Axel Tuanzebe have been included in the U-21 squad. Fosu-Mensah and Andreas Pereira who are on loan

May it be under Louis Van Gaal or Jose Mourinho, there will always be some gems at Manchester United who get to play for the first team.
Marcus Rashford has already started two matches this season out of three. He is likely to get more time to play for the first team under Jose Mourinho. Other players likely to get first team chance are Axel Tuanzebe and Borthwick-Jackson.
Though it is highly unlikely to replace De Gea and beat Sergio Romero to become the main goalkeeper, but Joel Pereira has some chance to feature for the first team.
It is to be seen how the team fares this season having won all three games at the begining of the season. Manchester United have made a good start to the 2017/18 season.
Hope we see the players give their best under the guidance of Jose Mourinho. Let us all hope that Manchester United wins the Premier League ending the four season wait to become the champions.
