Arsenal have approached Bracelona for a loan signing of Brazilian star Malcom with Denis Suarez also linked with a loan move to the club. Malcom arrived in Barcelona during last summer only, but has struggled for game time under Barclelona coach Ernesto Valverde. This has led to speculation about him leaving the club with a number of potential suitors including AC Milan and Arsenal interested in the winger.

According to the Sun, the Catalan club’s hierarchy rate the 21-year-old highly and reluctant to lose him. However, they are weighing up their options to let the winger leave on a loan deal as the Blaugrana chiefs are warming to the idea that a temporary switch can keep the player sharp or put him in the shop for a big money exit.
Arsenal are also keen to bring Denis Suarez to the club on an initial loan deal with an option to buy in the summer. However, disagreement over the release clause has seen the deal stall for the time being. The Gunners have also been linked with Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic after it was reported that the Croatian has submitted a transfer request with PSG’s Christoper Nkunku also on their radar.
Arsenal need recruitment in many areas of the field, call it midfield, defence or wing. In the wing department, Arsenal have only one player that fits the role, i.e., Alex Iwobi. Unai Emery has tried various options in that area including Mesut Ozil, Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, all of whom are good when they play centrally.

So an addition like Malcom who has good technical skills and can play on both the flanks will be a good addition to the team. Although the Barcelona manager is not providing him enough chances, the club executives highly rate Malcom, making it difficult for the Gunners to secure his services.
However, the chances of Malcom leaving the Catalan club are low because Barcelona are challenging on all fronts and the hierarchy will surely consider that factor before loaning the Brazilian. Barcelona are dithering about long term future of Malcom and would demand atleast £50 million for him if they sell, a fee Arsenal would hardly consider paying.

With Ousmane Dembele being injury-prone and any fitness issues for the Frenchman would result in Coutinho being only winger left in the squad with Kevin-Prince Boateng and Carles Alena better suited to playing centrally.
However, if Malcom does move to the Premier League, he will be a player to watch out for and it would not do any harm to both the clubs along with the player as the Gunners continue their Premier League away at Ethiad Stadium against Manchester City this weekend.
