According to the transfer speculations, Aaron Ramsey is expected to reject Man United and Chelsea to sign a bumper new deal and Stephy Mavididi in shock talks for a transfer to Juventus’ Serie A.
Aaron Ramsey and Stephy Mavididi Transfer Talk:
Amid negotiations of a move by Aaron Ramsey to either Manchester United or Chelsea, Arsenal has stepped up their game in a bid to retain their midfielder and could go as high as £200,000 per week to keep the Welshman.
However, with Arsenal’s attention elsewhere, Juventus has taken the golden opportunity of signing Stephy Mavididi for a permanent move to the Serie A team – the Italian equivalent of League One.
Ramsey Rejects Manchester United and Chelsea
Arsenal are currently putting their best foot forward in an attempt to retain their 27-year old Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey and they believe he will reject strong interest from both Manchester United and Chelsea. Ramsey has entered the final year of his contract and Arsenal is absolutely desperate for him to sign a new deal with them.
Both Manchester United and Chelsea showed strong interest in Ramsey during the summer transfer window and it was rumoured that Chelsea was particularly keen on signing Ramsey. However, Arsenal is hoping to capture the attention of Ramsey by offering him an attractive deal that would be difficult to decline.
Gunners Desperate to Avoid Past Mistakes
The rumours of Ramsey’s departure came on the back of past mistakes made by Arsenal, ones they are keen to avoid repeating. Alexis Sanchez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain both left the club after they were allowed to enter the final year of their deals last year, a mistake which Arsenal regrets owing to their success at Manchester United and Liverpool respectively.
In a move, which surely would’ve had Australian sports betting set abuzz, Arsenal also had to foot the bill to retain Mesut Ozil given that he was 6 months away from the end of his contract and they did not want to risk losing him as well. With the knowledge of Arsenal desperate to retain him, Ramsey is willing to bide his time in negotiations as he knows that he can coax a larger deal if he keeps the talks going. Arsenal, is in fact, willing to make Ramsey one of their biggest earners at around £200,000 per week.
Mavidivi in Shock Transfer To Juventus
Meanwhile, as Arsenal is desperate to retain Ramsey, Juventus succeeded in snapping up Stephy Mavididi for a permanent transfer to the Serie A team. The 20-year old striker has spent the last season on loan to Preston and Charlton – where he scored twice in 15 appearances during his first stint in League One – and he is best known to his supporters for his stellar performance in a Charlton match against Rochdale where he breezed past 5 players from the edge of his own box, only to be sadly denied by the goalkeeper.
However, Mavididi was not involved in Arsenal’s pre-season tour and this provided Juventus with the perfect opportunity to sign the rising star over a permanent move to Italy. The move would surely afford Mavididi the attractive opportunity of regular play in the Italian equivalent of League One.
