How Much Longer | Will The Kroenke’s Please Step in to Secure The Players Arteta Wants !!!

Arteta rebuild, Kroenke

Arsenal are in the middle of a much-needed rebuild and things are chugging along rather nicely now that Raul Sanllehi has departed leaving Mikel Arteta and Edu with the final say on transfers. However, it all comes down to money.

How long can KSE and the Kroenke’s avoid pumping their own cash into the club? They’re good at taking money out, we’ve seen that with an estimated £6m bled from the club’s coffers for advisory services, which sounds a tad rich.

What were they advising on? Up until now, they’ve made Arsenal a complete laughing stock with their complete mismanagement by appointing a series of third rate employees in key positions. This is mainly down to inexperience and a long arm approach to their English investment, which remains in the shadows compared to their American sports ventures.

They now have Arteta in place, they’ve dispatched Sanllehi and the other fraud Gazidis and have a technical director in Edu who can support the manager, but the key point for a rebuild is an investment. Arsenal are losing money on a series of players they are desperately trying to offload, who came at vast expense and will be sold on for a fraction of what they cost.

Arteta and Edu are struggling to complete their deals because the outgoing players on offer aren’t worth the asking price. The bottom line is that with sales failing to materialise, the Kroenke’s need to dig deep and fund the transfers of the necessary personnel.

Even if it is on an interest-free loan or the money is clawed back over the next three seasons with outgoings, no matter how little is raised. Arteta could certainly end up doing the majority of his rebuild in this window with the right support and the owners could stipulate that next season will see little transfer activity.

Are they likely to give Arteta the money? That’s the biggest question, isn’t it? They have shown very little enthusiasm in that respect and one doubts that will change, but Arteta has given them a glimpse of what can be achieved with damaged goods, imagine if they invested wisely for a change.

Some sections of social media have suggested that the Kroenke’s may well part with cash, but that may be just wishful thinking. If they are serious about the club, now’s the time to pump in the cash. They could always give free advice and that may pay for the shin of a half-decent midfielder.

Anti Kroenke , anti Gazidis but always a gooner. Still wishes he could watch from the stands at the Highbury library.
