A dominant display saw Man United secure a compelling 4-1 victory over Real Betis in their first-leg Round of 16 Europa League tie on Thursday as the Red Devils look to continue remaining consistent in their performances moving further into the season. Excellent in their approach against the La Liga side, United will be keen on moving into the Quarter-final of the European competition.

Following a proactive start to the game against Real Betis, Man United ensured they established themselves as the dominant side on the evening from the first whistle. Having created numerous goal-scoring opportunities throughout the first half, the Red Devils struck first, with Marcus Rashford finding the back of the net in the 6th minute.

The Spanish club ensured they retained a semblance of control in retaining possession following the opening goal however, with Manuel Pellegrini’s side levelling the score in the 32nd minute moving into the half-time break.

The hosts were quick to regain control of the game throughout the second half however, with the Red Devils ensuring they found the back of the net thrice during pivotal moments in the half. Goals from Bruno Fernandes, Antony, and Wout Weghorst saw Erik Ten Hag’s side remain resolute throughout the ninety minutes on the pitch, as they look forward to continuing improving on their collective displays on the pitch over the coming weeks.
