Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is aiming to strengthen Manchester United team by using the winter transfer window to bring new players in the team. It is rumoured he will be sitting with Ed Woodward and talk about potential signings; especially the centre-back Nikola Milenkovic who plays for ACF Fiorentina.
It is believed Woodward is prepared to sanction moves if the right deal presents itself and as reported, Manchester United have been tracking Serbia defender Milenkovic extensively for quite some time now. The 21-year-old only arrived at Fiorentina last year from his boyhood club Partizan but is already rated as one of the most promising defenders in Serie A.
Milenkovic can operate in central defence or at right-back and his versatility has appealed to Red Devils who are desperate to improve their leaky backline.
In February 2017, he was listed as one the 30 best youth footballers in the world by the Italian newspaper La Gazzetta Dello Sport.

Milenković made his international debut for the Serbia national football team in a friendly 3–0 loss to Qatar on 29 September 2016. In June 2018 Serbian head coach Mladen Krstajić included Milenković in the final 23-man squad for the 2018 World Cup. He played on all three group stage matches. He is widely considered as the best performer in the World Cup 2018 squad, with 34 successful tackles (the most in the group stage), and some great positional play.
Milenkovic has 18 appearances in Seria A this season as a regular starting eleven and also scored 2 goals. The player has a transfer value of around 45 million euros; which should not be a problem for a club as big as United and considering their inconsistent defensive line-up throughout the 2018-19 season, also having a bafflingly low goal difference of 11 compared to 39 of Liverpool and Manchester City.
Clearly United are leaking goals and in the lookout for a consistent and world-class defender like Nikola Milenkovic who has considerable experience of playing in Italy and has the potential to be a star player under Manchester United and would indeed make a fine addition to the United backline should they eventually secure his services now when they need him the most.
