Unai Emery Reveals what he said which Prompted Jack Wilshere to leave the club despite agreeing a deal on reduced wages

Jack Wilshere, West Ham, Jack Wilshere transfer

Unai Emery reveals what would have been the possible scenario had Jack Wilshere decided to renew with the club and what went on in their final meeting which precisely prompted Jack Wilshere to leave his very own club in search of better opportunities.[spacer height=”30px”]

An universal fan favourite, Wilshere quit the Emirates last month after deciding not to take up the offer of a new contract at the club even after agreeing to the diminished terms and salary. The England International was not guaranteed a spot in the playing 11 for the upcoming season, therefore, Jack Wilshere left the Emirates.[spacer height=”30px”]

Jack Wilshere, 26, featured only 20 times in the Premier League last season under Arsene Wenger and would have to have his playing time significantly reduced this season after the arrival of Lucas Torreira if he had decided to stay and renew with the club as revealed by Emery in a private conversation with the midfielder. [spacer height=”30px”]

Emery also said that Wilshere’s departure was a tactical and technical decision and had nothing to do with the player’s injury problems. Speaking to the media in an attempt to explain his decision of cutting out the fan favorite and basically pushing him outta the door here is what he said : [spacer height=”30px”]

“It was one decision, one private conversation and I want to respect that,” [spacer height=”20px”]

“It was a tactical, technical decision. The conversation with Wilshere was a very good conversation, very direct, together.[spacer height=”20px”]

I explained to him my opinion and how I wanted to create the team, and I couldn’t say for sure to him he was going to be in the 11 players. “

[spacer height=”30px”]Wilshere snubbed interest from Fenerbahce, to secure a move to the club he supported as a boy. He signed a three-year deal, on £100,000 a week.[spacer height=”30px”]

[spacer height=”30px”]

Wilshere wrote on Twitter speaking after his move saying :[spacer height=”30px”]

Delighted to have officially signed for West Ham United! ‘After speaking with the manager and those at the club I knew my future was at the London Stadium and I can’t wait to get going now.[spacer height=”20px”]

‘It’s well known that I come from a family of Hammers and it’s a special moment to sign for the club I used to go and watch as a boy.[spacer height=”20px”]

‘The West Ham fans are some of the very best and I am looking forward to giving everything I have to help the team to bring success to you all. ‘I’m excited for the future at this great club. Off to training camp and the hard work starts now. Come on you, Irons!’

[spacer height=”30px”]What can he bring to the squad that Arsenal will surely miss?[spacer height=”30px”]

Well, for a start, his distribution and vision are second to none. His smaller figure means he can make penetrating runs from box-to-box and accelerate away from defenders. He is also extremely versatile, given that he has been played in a variety of different positions over his career (attacking midfielder, winger, and deep-lying central midfielder).[spacer height=”30px”]

Having been touted for greatness, both internationally and at club-level from a very young age, some would say he hasn’t lived up to the high expectations. It’s possible he may have peaked too early. But he still has a brilliant work rate and displays great leadership on the pitch.[spacer height=”30px”]

If anything, him being left out of this year’s World Cup squad should only serve as motivation for him to prove any naysayers wrong.[spacer height=”30px”]

Here is exactly how Post Wenger Arsenal Can best Line up in Unai Emery’s new look Arsenal Squad for the First game of the season vs Man City

[spacer height=”30px”]

For me personally, this is a great deal for both Wilshere and West Ham. Firstly West Ham got such a talented player on a free transfer, therefore; Tony Cottee has hailed the signing of former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere as West Ham’s best signing since they brought Dimitri Payet. It’s the best decision for Jack Wilshere because he would get more playing time which wasn’t promised to him at Arsenal.[spacer height=”30px”]

For West Ham fans this transfer window looks like an exciting one after last season’s horror West Ham made big signings such as Swansea keeper Lukasz Fabianski for £7million, Issa Diop, and Fulham’s Ryan Fredericks on a free transfer, and now Jack Wilshere coming to the team will help them a lot.[spacer height=”30px”]

The only problem I see in this deal is for Wilshere is that Straight away he’s going to be under pressure to play a lot of football. Andy Carroll being injured and with Manuel Lanzini injured now, he’s going to be under pressure to play a lot of games and do the business. So if he fails to prove himself he is done for good.[spacer height=”30px”]

However one thing is for sure is that Jack Wilshere is an incredibly skillful and brilliant player when hes at it and for Arsenal to be letting go of a player of his talents whose been basically brought up here at the club is indeed a very risky thing to do and really hoping that it doesn’t back fire on the club. [spacer height=”30px”]
