Alexis Sanchez’s time at the Theatre of Dreams has been somewhat of a nightmare so far. When Sanchez swapped life at The Emirates for a career in Manchester, he brought with himself a promise of goals and assists.
However, his career Old Trafford has failed to take-off. With only 5 goals in 37 matches to his name, Alexis Sanchez has struggled to hold down a starting position under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Plagued with injuries, his time in Manchester United seems to have reached the end. The 30-year-old Chilean still has aspirations to play week in week out at the highest level. A back-up role is not something that will keep him happy.
Anthony Martial’s recent run of excellent form has pushed Sanchez to the bottom of the pecking order and it will be no surprise, shall the latter choose to look for regular football elsewhere come the end of the season.
Ex-Arsenal player Marc Overmars has tipped the ex-Barcelona forward for an unexpected return to Arsenal.
Could Alexis Sanchez ever return to #Arsenal?

“I have great respect for Alexis because he did extremely well in Arsenal, but I do not know if it was a good decision to leave.”
“English football changes you, it turns you around, and it took me a step forward. Arsene Wenger arrived a year before me, Dennis Bergkamp made a big impression in England. It was a fantastic time, I think we changed the history of the club a bit.
“These type of players were very important for Arsenal because that’s where they take you to focus, after Alexis, Arsenal tried to sign another player like that, but he was not given, so he could go back to Arsenal.”
Supposedly, Marc Overmars will take up the position vacated by the departure of Sven Mislintat and his recent comment may indicate an intent to bring Sanchez back to London.
