Why United Are Absolutely Justified In Tabling A Second Bid For This £50m English Wonderkid Whom They Desperately Need

Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Aaron Bissaka linked to United, Bissaka

After the capture of Daniel James from Swansea for a reported fee of £15 million, Manchester United fans are demanding three more signings. They are Bruno Fernandes, Matthijs de Ligt and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Even though the Matthijs de Ligt deal is looking difficult, Manchester United can pull off the deal of Bruno Fernandes and Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Among the Sporting CP star and the Crystal Palace player, Wan Bissaka’s deal seems to be a better one for the Old Trafford based outfit.

Manchester United have had their £40 million bid rejected for Aaron Wan-Bissaka this week. Crystal Palace is demanding a fee of more than £50 million for their full-back. If reports in England are to be believed, Manchester United are looking to sort out the deal in this weekend.

In the opinion of former Liverpool fullback, Steve Nicol, signing Wan Bissaka would be a masterstroke for Manchester United. He also stated that Manchester United will have a better fullback than Manchester City for years as the Crystal Palace defender is just 21.

“But what I like about him as much as anything, the guy wants to defend.

There’s not many full-backs these days that want to defend.

“When it actually matters that you’re even getting beat or you can’t stop the cross, it matters to this guy.

“As far as the price is concerned, if Kyle Walker goes for £50m, Wan-Bissaka, in my opinion, is a better footballer than Kyle Walker.

He also believes that the 50 million plus valuation is valid for the upcoming DR Congo international:

Right now, is he a better defender? It’s eeksie-peeksie.

“But I’ll tell you what, he’s only 21 and he’s definitely going to get better.

“So if Kyle Walker’s £50m, then Wan-Bissaka is definitely £50m-plus.”

Why Signing Aaron Wan Bissaka Will Be A Good One:

Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young joined the Red Devils as wingers when Sir Alex was at the helm of the club. Both of them proved to be quality wingers for the club and served United to their best.

However, both are not the best full-backs. Other fullbacks at the club include Diogo Dalot and Matteo Darmian. On one hand, Diogo Dalot is an exciting prospect for Manchester United while on the other, Matteo Darmian is a dull player who is expected to move out of England this summer.

Speaking on attacking from the right flank, there has been the spark of brilliance, but nobody has been consistent. Wilfried Zaha wasn’t even given the chance to play on the right wing. Jesse Lingard impressed with his sheer ability, but could not do it on a permanent basis. United continues with the traditional style of wing play, with Juan Mata cutting back and crossing the ball in the absence of pace.

Aaron Wan Bissaka had a brilliant 2018/19 season in the English Premier League. The player has racked up 84 interceptions in the PL this season, which is the second highest in the league. He has 61 dribbles with a success percentage of 61. Also, Bissaka has the second highest tackles in the league with 90 tackles. Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia don’t even stand close to him in these aspects of the game.

Aaron Wan Bissaka could be the solution to United’s right wing problem as he is dynamic, talented and young. The 21-year-old has the sheer pace and crossing ability, which was last seen in an United full-back during the glory days of the Fergie era.
