Manchester United vs Omonia

Manchester United host Omonia as the Red Devils look to move to the top of their Europa League group table on Thursday. Having secured a hard-fought 2-3 victory over the Cypriot club in their last meeting, United will be keen on building on their winning momentum moving forward into the competition.

Heading into the fixture on the back of two encouraging victories, Erik Ten Hag will be keen on witnessing a dominant performance at Old Trafford tonight. Likely to make a number of changes to the starting line-up, Manchester United will be looking to keep a clean sheet having conceded in each of their last three fixtures, with the manager expected to employ a positive approach on the pitch against Omonia.

Harry Maguire, Donny Van De Beek, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and Anthony Martial remain unavailable for the fixture whilst Raphael Varane is unlikely to be included in the starting line-up despite making a cameo appearance against Everton last weekend.

Jadon Sancho, Scott McTominay, and Tyrell Malacia emerge as the likeliest of players to make their way into the starting line-up whilst forward Cristiano Ronaldo will be hoping to retain his spot as the focal point of attack against Omonia.

Goalkeeper

David De Gea (GK): With Martin Dubravka yet to regain full fitness, De Gea is expected to retain his place between the sticks on Thursday. Having shown promising improvement in his overall approach on the pitch, the Spaniard will be keen on cementing his long-term future under Ten Hag moving forward.

Defenders

Diogo Dalot (RB): Consistent in his application, Dalot will be looking to deliver a notable performance against Omonia. Having cemented his place in the starting line-up, the full-back will be keen on continuing to improve his contributions over the coming weeks.

With Casemiro unlikely to be displaced from the starting line-up anytime soon, the Scotsman will be keen on gaining consistency on the pitch moving forward.

Christian Eriksen (CM): Pivotal to the team’s performance in possession, Eriksen is expected to retain his place in the starting line-up this Thursday. Unlikely to be granted a rest anytime soon, the midfielder will be hoping to remain consistent in his output over the coming weeks.

Attackers

Antony (RW): Proving to be a consistent goal contributor, Antony will be looking to remain consistent in his output moving forward. Having had an encouraging start to his career at United, the Brazilian winger will be keen on delivering a notable performance against the Cypriot club.

Bruno Fernandes (CAM): While much remains to be desired of his performances, Fernandes will be looking to deliver an encouraging display this Thursday. Likely to feature in a majority of games moving forward, the Portuguese international will be looking to improve on his overall contributions moving forward.
