Will we see any changes to the Manchester United line-up as they prepare to take on Southampton in the Premier League?
Following their first victory of the 2022/23 season, that too against Liverpool, Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United travel to Southampton this weekend as they look to build on their confidence moving forward. With the manager expected to stick by the starting line-up that secured a riveting three points at Old Trafford earlier this week, United will be hoping to gain consistent results heading into a congested fixture list.
Having secured the indispensable midfield signing in Casemiro last week, the Brazilian is expected to make his debut for the club against Southampton on Saturday. Whilst much of the team is likely to remain unchanged, Ten Hag could potentially make changes in personnel across the midfield and forward positions at the weekend.
The Red Devils remain without the services of Facundo Pellistri, Victor Lindelof and Brandon Williams owing to injury, whilst Anthony Martial misses out on the trip to Southampton because of an Achilles injury despite featuring against Liverpool earlier this week.
