According to latest reports, Arsenal are preparing a surprising move for Nottingham Forest attacking midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White in the upcoming summer transfer window. The English attacker is having a great season with Forest which has attracted the Gunners’ attention.
As of now, the North Londoners are doing quite great this season, scoring goals freely. They are one of the top contenders for the Premier League title, standing atop the points table with 71 points in 31 games, ahead of second-placed Liverpool only on goal difference and 1 point more than third-placed Man City.
The Gunners have a well stacked squad in the attacking department and rotation of players is also giving great results. However, manager Mikel Arteta wants to revise his ranks ahead of next season and doesn’t want to miss out on any chance of strengthening his attack.
According to the Daily Star, Arsenal are keeping tabs on Nottingham Forest winger Morgan Gibbs-White. The report claims that the North London side could make a surprise move for the Englishman once the summer transfer window opens.
Arsenal academy graduate Emile Smith Rowe has been linked with a possible exit from the Emirates this summer. Smith Rowe’s minutes have drastically decreased over the years and he has become a periphery figure at the club, mainly due to injuries.

The London Colney graduate leaving would create a void in the squad and Arsenal are planning to fill this void by signing Morgan Gibbs-White from Forest. Moreover, Arteta has the support of the director Josh Kroenke in choosing new potential talents to add to the team and the club have benefited from it so far.
What Gibbs-White Adds To The Team
Gibbs-White has great strength, pace and skill which enhance the midfield stability of the team. His technical prowess has been on full display this season, having scored 5 goals and registered 7 assists in 31 PL appearances (stats via Transfermarkt). His stats would have been higher if not for the lack of quality up front for the Reds.
The 24-year-old has been a hugely successful and influential signing for Nottingham since his record move from Wolves in the summer of 2022. The attacking midfielder has justified his hefty £42.5m price-tag, contributing 10 goals and 15 assists in 74 games across all competitions for the club

The North Londoners are doing great in the Premier League this campaign. However, boss Mikel Arteta knows he has to keep the tempo up going into next season to become regular title contenders over top rivals Manchester City and Liverpool. Adding Morgan White-Gibbs to the ranks would certainly help Arsenal achieve consistency.
Moreover, the English attacker will fit right in Arteta’s style of play, given his work rate and high pressing. Will the Gunners be able to acquire the services of the attacking midfielder? The upcoming summer transfer window will make it clear.
