Man United will be visiting the City Ground for their 5th round FA Cup tie against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night. United as well as Forest come into the game riding on a loss, so both teams will be looking for a win and to qualify to the next round.
Earlier, Erik ten Hag’s side were beaten 2-1 by the Tricky Trees in December to round off 2023. Just prior to their recent 2-1 defeat to Fulham last weekend, the Red Devils were on a 5-match winning run across all competitions, but the team is still in quite a vulnerable stage.
On the other hand, the Red are recovering from a 4-2 loss at Aston Villa last weekend. In the last 13 home matches, they have won 4, lost 6, and drawn 3, while have managed only 2 wins, 3 draws, and 8 losses from 13 away games. Nottingham Forest have performed well this season as compared to last year and are into the 5th round of the FA Cup to face Manchester United.
Injury/Suspension List:
Centre-forward Rasmus Hojland has been ruled out due to a muscular problem that happened during a training session before the Fulham game. Meanwhile, Mason Mount remains sidelined with a calf problem which has kept him out of the team since November.
Lisandro Martinez remains sidelined with a severe knee injury. The Argentine centre-back sustained a medial collateral ligament damage to his right knee during United’s 3-0 victory over West Ham earlier this month. He has been ruled out of contention till at least the start of April.
On the other hand, Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo will be without defender Nuno Tavares who got injured during the West Ham United game. Midfielder Ibrahim Sangare also remains sidelined due to a knee injury.
Player To Watch Out For – Alejandro Garnacho
Since the injury of Rasmus Hojlund, it’s the Argentine youngstar who has been filling his place in the team. He is in great form and is one of fixed features in the starting XI. Garnacho’s bicycle kick against Everton made a blast in the football world and is one of the contenders for the Goal of the Season.

Predicted Score:
Nottingham Forest 0-1 Man United
There is a higher chance for Erik Ten Hag’s team to come out victorious in this battle. Although, the Dutch manager is missing some key players from his squad, his team is capable of playing and winning high-pressure matches.
However, it would not be an easy game for the Red Devils at City Ground. As per the recent performances of Nottingham Forest they can’t be ignored and it wouldn’t be much surprising if they beat Man United.
